What does Emporio mean? It is a market where you can get a variety of things you need. Today, in small villages in Italy, the Emporio is the center of life. Villagers visit the Emporio daily to socialize, share local happenings, and get their local fresh goods, cheese, pasta, sandwiches, and bread. Passione is bringing a little piece of Italian small village life in Berkeley. Our mission at Passione Emporio is to create a neighborhood restaurant that has the same feel of community and quality as old village Emporio’s. We source only the best local ingredients and craft them with traditional Italian recipes to make delicious food with vegan and gluten-free options. Our rotating wine offerings include Italian, Californian, and European wines and beers with Prosecco at the center of the list to accompany Italian salami and cheese plates during happy hour.

    We had a wonderful dining experience Passione Emporio. We were celebrating a birthday with family and the put a happy birthday banner above our table. The pizza was really good. We tried four different pizzas as a group and the were all delicious. The salad was really fresh. The service was friendly and spot on. Will definitely return!

    It’s a small restaurant with only two wait staff. It took a while to be seated with a reservation as well as taking our order. Other than that the entire meal was amazing.

    We think you should add the pasta special of clams & cherry tomatoes to the standard menu! It was so good, we’d come back just for that

    First time visiting, food was amazing. Service was good but we did have to wait quite a while to get our food or the attention of our server. Seemed like they were low on staff. Definitely going back

    I am so glad to have found this place. It has great food served in a warm friendly atmosphere. The pastas and pizzas are delicious and they offer yummy desserts.

    Our first time. Good but not great. Tables too small to hold the dishes if you share something. Space tight. Friendly. Good spinach salad. Calamari overly breaded, more like onion rings. Pizza crust disappointing. Very loud when full. Back to Benchmark for pizza.
