My hopes were high but the food was just ok. We started with guacamole- no flavor, no seasoning or salt. Chips were GM really good. The margaritas tasted like lemonade and no tequila. The enchiladas were fantastic but my other guests said their food was just ok. The service was really good and big shoutout to the food runners who were FANTATSIC. We requested some extras and the runners helped us with every request. I expected more flavor with the food. Space was cute- modern, bright and open kitchen.

Our first time visiting Paseo was really pleasant which is why we returned. Yesterday, however was really quite frustrating. We went for 4th of July and fireworks. I made the reservations a week ago. I got a call a few hours beforehand that if we wanted to sit on the balcony it would be $120 pp and had a pre fixe menu. I wasn’t pleased because this was not advertised on their site or indicated when we made the reservation. The servers (Otto) was so long but also confused because he was unaware of this and confused by the menu they gave us for the pre fixe. Items were indicated as gluten free but turned out not to be (despite my asking ahead of time). We were told “there were mistakes made”. They did give us alternative options but it was such a confusing affair, it felt really uncomfortable. Our guests we brought were very unhappy with the whole experience it was just completely disheartening. As much as we wanted this to be our new favourite place, spending $600 to come away still hungry and feeling like everything was so disorganized and not done well was not ideal. Very disappointed.

The restaurant itself is a vibe, the place seems great to celebrate a special occasion. The food was good, we got our table set at the balcony and that was a plus because we could see the Disneyland fireworks. Our server Rudy was very attentive and always made sure we were well taken care of while having the biggest smile.

So disappointed. Wanted to love it as we are at downtown Disney frequently. First off, was sat inside with all the families, when I had requested to sit outside (which there was plenty of open tables). Second ordered the classic marg and chips and guacamole. Both had no flavor, the quac tasted like costcos pre packaged..they could offer table side quac…no option to make it spicy at all. And the margs….watered down and tasted like a big batch. They truly missed the mark. Our food came out cold, and our water was never refilled. Which we had asked for multiple times. Felt bad for our server, he had way too many tables, and when he did check in it was only to ask if we wanted another margarita. Wondering if the bar or gas counter service is the same. But sadly we will not be returning.

This was our second try at Paseo. The first time was good, but we hoped to do better this time, perhaps by ordering better. It came down to this: There is no question that the food is quality and nicely presented, but I’m just not used to upscale Mexican cuisine. It’s not your typical SoCal Mexican. I ordered the chile relleno, wondering how a Michelin chef would improve upon the gooey, molten cheese filled pepper that I’m so fond of. What arrived was a dish I hadn’t anticipated at all! No egg batter. No melted cheese. A large meaty mild pepper stuffed to the hilt with seasoned mushrooms (practically exploded when I cut into it!) and topped with a small slice of tofu-like grilled panela. Red sauce and a dark dust (cocoa?). Was it tasty? You bet. But to me, it was “something else” not a chile relleno for $26. My partner had carne asada. He thought it was okay but a bit boring since it turned out to be a NY strip steak cooked with salt and pepper and no zippy sauce (like a chimchurri) to brighten it up. Fingerling potatoes and a cheese (?) sauce. He reminisced about the jazzy skirt steak at the previous Catal, and was clearly disappointed. His dish was $64, a bit pricey. We were truly hoping to be able to fall in love with Paseo as we’d done for years with Catal. But we aren’t there yet. Not even close, unfortunately. What might help is a more descriptive detailed menu, to start.

We had a wonderful dinner. We started with the guacamole, which was outstanding. There wasn't enough chips, but they quickly came with more. We also had the YUCATÁN CEVICHE. It was delicious and a good size as we had a lot more food coming. My wife and son both ordered MAMA'S COCHINITA PIBIL (pork shank) which fell off the bone and was accompanied by home made corn tortillas. My son's girlfriend had the chicken enchiladas, which were also delicious. my daughter had the kids burrito with beans. It was a little spicy for her taste but she was continuing to eat it. Our waitress overheard us and brought her some french fries, which was a great thoughtful touch. I ordered the YUCATÁN FISH along with a side of ESQUITES. I thought the sauce and fish were outstanding. I would highly recommend trying the restaurant. You won't be disappointed

Had a wonderful creative and inventive meal at Paseo with Otto, our server, guiding us through the menu. Appetizers were interesting and delicious, large plates were equally inventive and the Cacao for dessert the best! We will be back

Pressure service. Upsell without explanation - e.g., glass of wine listed as $14. Apparently that was for a 5 or 6oz pour. Waiter brought 9oz pour and charged $24. No description of the difference so couldn’t guess it was a larger glass. Wine was mediocre as well. Should have asked what we wanted. That’s okay, though. His upsell went to the restaurant as I took it out of his tip. Overall, mediocre overpriced food. Don’t recommend.

Food was amazing and the service was exceptional. This is by far the best DT Disney and Park’s restaurant and we have ate at all of them. Like drinking wine, the food exhibited soft notes of flavor that come to the pallet one by one. Our server Alyssa was top tier and could be working at a black tie establishment. The entire staff from the 2 floor managers to the busters were on top of everything. You can tell that they have been trained to work like Swiss watch. This restaurant is a standout and I’ve found my new favorite place.
