As always the Parsonage Grill is open throughout December and our Christmas Party Menu is available from 20th November to 24th December, and can only be booked in advance for parties of 5+ guests. Our Events team will be in contact to arrange a pre order.

The Parsonage Grill was recommended by a friend and I booked it for a 60th birthday dinner celebration for my sister. There were 3 of us and we had a lovely evening. The food was fantastic, especially the smoked haddock chowder! The service was first class and a special thank you must go to Phoebe and Sandra for making it a special evening. The only thing that let it down was the sticky toffee pudding which was steamed and tasted very bland. We did feed that back to Phoebe and she said she would let the chef know. Otherwise, a great place, lovely decor and wonderful food and service!

Experience spoilt by failure to receive the request for a car parking space not passed on by Open Table.

One of my favourite restaurants in Oxford. I love the food and the atmosphere. Wines also quite decent. Great service, too!

This was the perfect setting for dinner on a chilly night in Oxford. Our table was indoors near the fireplace in the dining room. The food was delicious and well priced. Overall, it was a lovely evening.

If you are a party of two and are unfortunate enough to be seated in the row of 4 x tables against a wall banquet, don't expect an intimate birthday dinner for two, as the tables are SO close together it's like sharing a table with strangers, impossible not to overhear every single word of your too close neighbour's conversation and then the adjacent tables being wiped down with an astringent cleaner inches away from the food you're eating, is extremely off putting ! On top of which, the Burrata & Heritage Tomato main I'd been looking forward to had "run out" according to our server and been replaced with a sweet potato risotto - starch with starch ? far from ideal, so I ended up having to have the onion soup starter as a main instead, which in fairness was delicious, as was the bread. And the Romanian house wine, was very good, as well as reasonably priced - so overall, a mixed experience, but a disappointing one from our expectations and their Gees further along the same road was much better.

Very disappointing. As our food was coming out my partner was told that his order was mistakenly put through and that they had run out of roast beef at 2pm on a Sunday (very odd). To then see roast beef served to other tables after ours was very disheartening. The Old Parsonage did offer him a different meal and desert for free of charge but we were now eating and the reason we had gone there on Sunday was for a roast dinner so anything else was not really what was wanted. Then when the bill came we were stood over by the waitress with a card machine to pay it straight away, I was then shocked to see a £56 service charge, this was not noticed until after we’d paid our bill. Additionally we were charged for a bottle of water we didn’t have. I don’t think we’ll return for food. Such a shame as it is somewhere I’ve wanted to go for a Sunday lunch for a long time.

Loved the place, a venue with character , lovely fire place. Staff very professional and pleasant. Our waitress was very attentive and cheerful. Our family reunion made us feel very happy and that was even the food was ordered. The quality of our selected starters and mains was excellent. So was dessert. We left very contented. Next time we visit Oxford, we will book a table again.
