We visited on the Friday as part of my Son’s Graduation weekend. So impressed that we cancelled our booking for another restaurant on the Saturday and booked in again Could not give a bigger compliment

This was a graduation celebration. We ordered champagne, the server had no idea how many glasses we would get from a bottle. Two of the main courses were cold. We were a party of 6 and the others had almost finished by the time ours returned. The potatoes were now warm but the meat was still cold and they gave us the same beans. I had spooned some of these onto the original plate so I ended up with half a plate of cold beans. It was an awful course - cold venison, cold puréed potatoes and a few cold beans. The server had no idea which wine to suggest with the main courses and had to go an ask again. Cheese course - guess what, she had no idea which cheeses are served. This server was a student, working to pay her studies and not at all trained in the restaurant industry. Perhaps Parker's Tavern should think about training their staff before sending them to face the public. Parker's Tavern will also inundate you with emails and sms to try to stop you booking and not showing up. In these messages they threaten to charge £20 per person if someone drops out of your party, so make sure nobody is ill or misses their bus. You will receive emails and sms messages asking for the same thing. They are thorough in getting you to commit to arriving, but not so good at looking after you once you're inside. Such a pity for such a price.

Absolutely fantastic. Food and cocktails were gorgeous. We were evacuated for an unexpected fire alarm and this was safely dealt with and without any request a reduction on the bill We booked again for another visit as we left as so impressed
