We're Papa's Tapas—a proud fixture of Delray Beach's Atlantic Ave for nearly 15 incredible years. Our local family restaurant will bring you back to Old World Spain with tapas & dinner menus featuring proprietary recipes that have been passed down for generations.
Our Executive Chef, Cristobal 'Papa' Parra has crafted a menu that celebrates authentic Spanish flavors—from savory Tapas & Signature Sangrias to delicious Paellas & refreshing cocktails. Papa's Tapas offers a charming Spanish dining experience for our guests to enjoy sharing tapas with their friends & loved ones.

Enjoyed the food, everything had a ton of flavor. We stuck with the Tapas menu and some of our favorites from the night were the Brussels sprouts, the Spinach Croquettes, the lamb chops and the mushrooms. The shrimp and octopus were decent but might have had too much flavor. Overall, it was a nice evening. Service was great. Parking in the guarded off strip mall definitely made parking easier to find, especially in Delray.

We took some people visiting from out of town and they loved it. We again had Alejandra who was awesome as usual.

Enjoyed it! Lively bordering on too loud inside. Food came quickly but drinks, water etc. were inconsistent. Our food selections were all great. Will definitely come again.

We will definitely be back to Papa’s Tapas to sample even more of their wonderful food and enjoy their warm, friendly and prompt service. We had two tapas appetizers, the meatballs which.has an amazing sauce that I wanted even more of, and the meatballs were tender with some surprising ingredients to sweeten them. We also had the empanadas which were hot, tasty and well seasoned without being greasy. We ordered my paella Valenciana when we ordered our drinks as they are made entirely from scratch and require extra time. The paella was delicious, the rice was not dry which is a feat in itself as the edges were appropriately crusty (which you want) in a paella. We also had the seafood Mariscada and the sauce was among the best I’ve had. It’s right down the street from The Ray Hotel and has decent parking as it’s part of a strip mall. Highly recommend. They also have a full liquor license now and a nice happy hour.

A Perfect Evening at Papa's Tapas in Delray Beach Last night, everything fell into place for an outstanding dining experience at Papa's Tapas in Delray Beach. We reserved a table for four at 7:30 PM, and our evening started on the right note with a welcome surprise—reserved parking spaces for diners with reservations. Parking in Pineapple Grove can often be a challenge, so this thoughtful touch immediately set the tone for the evening. The restaurant was surprisingly not full, which meant a comfortable noise level that allowed for easy conversation. As always, the food was exceptional. We began with a selection of tapas to share—chorizos, empanadas, and meatballs—all beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor. For the main course, each couple shared a skirt steak. Cooked to perfection, the steak was tender, delicious, and paired wonderfully with the classic sides of yellow rice and beans. We ended the night on a sweet note, sharing a single piece of almond cake between the four of us. It was the perfect indulgence—moist, rich, and absolutely divine. Papa's Tapas delivers an authentic, flavorful experience ideal for sharing with friends. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great food, great company, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

OMG, first time here. Our server, Alejandra, was awesome. There’s a long wait for the paella, but the tapas we got first was super delicious and kept us happy. I now know you can pre-order the paella, good to know. The empanadas were literally the best we ever had in the US. We made a return reservation before we even left.

We tried several apps, all were delish! We now know to pre-order paella, as it takes an hour to prepare. Will definitely do that next time…and there will be many next times. Reservations are suggested as it’s a small restaurant and gets busy. Of course it’s busy, the food is terrific!!!
