Come sit by the water at Papa Kona! We offer best eggs benedict in town, our fan-favorite avocado fries, and a craft cocktail list you won't find anywhere else.

Reservations are limited to preserve space for walk-in guests. If you can't find a table online, we welcome you to walk-in!

The view on the ocean is amazing! The food was good (I got the egg Benedict and added fresh fruits). The service was great!

Went for dinner Saturday night. View is nice, right on the water. Two of us had the catch of the day which was Ono. I had the Ono fish and chips and my husband had the macadamia nut crusted Ono. It’s a very mild fish but this had no flavor whatsoever. My fish was cooked perfectly (but had no taste) and my husband’s was very overcooked. They were happy to cook him another piece, however it also had no flavor. Our grandson had the grilled chicken sandwich and it was good. Service was good too.

Great food and atmosphere. Sunday evening reservation at 7:00pm worked perfectly. There was a line to get in in when we left Papa Kona. Views are incredible and not to be missed if sitting outside as ocean laps the shore. Just keep in mind that you are in Kona, Hawaii and gas prices are double that of the mainland. Expect food charges to also be somewhat in proportion to the higher prices you will pay for dining. Great service and food. Ahi Poke apps and Firecracker shrimp apps great. Fish and Chips were delish. Enjoyed and recommend.

Made reservations for 7pm had to wait 30 minutes to get seated. The poor hostess was clearing tables while checking people in. Went to celebrate my father’s 60th birthday and waiting 30 minutes was not in our plans.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Papa Kona’s! Our food was delicious, the service was excellent, and our ocean side table was just perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better time! We highly recommend!!

Awesome ocean views with prompt & helpful service. Parking available in the basement was really handy but cost $16 for 2 hours. Food was excellent. I especially liked the pork quesadillas as an appetizer.

Surf and turf was excellent. Love the seasoned sauce for the steak and shrimp. Watched Spinner dolphins play while we ate.

This is one of those places that you’re paying for the view, not the quality of the food. The location is right on the water and view is beautiful. Food was so, so at best. One of our party had the fish tacos and said they were really good. Another had the Island Chicken Salad and found the chicken to be very dry. My friend had the pork sandwich and said is was ordinary and nothing special. I had the Surf and Turf which was advertised as grilled shrimp and 12oz. New York Strip Steak for $50. Only came with 3 grilled shrimp. The steak was good, but the purple sweet potato mash came out on the plate like warm at best. Not a great plate of food for $50.
