Nestled in Worthing’s stunning Beach House Park: Palm Court Pavilion is a stylish,
beautifully renovated café-bistro in the park’s Old Pavilion. Located just minutes from
the town centre and the seafront, Palm Court Pavilion serves delicious homemade food
and has a range of options for functions and events.
There are two pay and display car parks via Lyndhurst road.
Breakfast is served until 11.30am each day and lunch commences from midday with last orders around 3pm.
Sunday lunch from 12.30pm - 3.30pm.

**PLEASE NOTE** Afternoon Tea is available each day but this cannot be booked via open table as we have eight different types of high tea, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten free and all our teas are made to order. Please contact us directly at 01903212011 so we can discuss our menu.

We booked a table for a Saturday at 12.30pm and it was a hot day, we were shown to a table outdoors and in full sun, and we asked if we could move to sit in shade. The tables were too hot to touch and the parasol that partially shaded our table was later moved to accommodate another customer so it was very hot. My first choice from the menu was not available so I settled for an alternative (quiche of the day and salad) which was fine, although I was told it was broccoli and spinach but not that it had goats cheese in, which I am not keen on. My husband ordered the gammon steak which he said was dry and rather tough. The staff were very busy and the kitchen seemed to be regularly running out of food as the lunch session ran on, we could hear them telling other customers that various items were no longer available. Our order was taken promptly but we waited a long time for our food. The prices were quite high (although no higher than other similar establishments) so we decided not to have desserts. Overall we were reasonably happy with the meal and would go again but not at such a busy time.

We had looked at the menu outside the restaurant and decided what to have. However when we came into the restaurant the menu was different, we were advised that they needed to update the menu outside. But the food we ordered was amazing! It was Friday, so two of us had fish and chips (£19.95 for 2!). The fish was beautifully cooked, chunky piece of fish in crispy batter, with great chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce. Others had the panini with chips and side salad, which was very tasty. We didn’t have puddings, just coffee. Lovely friendly staff, great surroundings. Would recommend.

Palm court pavilion is a pleasant venue in Beach House Park Worthing. We booked for Sunday lunch on 9 June. We were seated in the marquee, service was very prompt for drinks and food orders and our meals came very quickly. The food was very good overall, tender beef for me, chicken supreme ( rather oddly coated in curry sauce with roast veg and Yorkshire!) for my son and sausages for my grandson. All good, but then the afternoon tea clients arrived and service went downhill. We ordered desserts but waited ages. We ordered tea and waited some more. A lack of staff meant everyone, including the afternoon tea eaters, was waiting unacceptable times for food. The staff were rushed off their feet, but always polite. I had to brandish my credit card at the till to get someone to stop and take my money. However, the food was perfectly fine, especially the summer pudding and the teas looked very nice too. Overall a mixed experience, but would go back.

Previously had a lovely afternoon tea here. This time was huge let down. We were seated in a very noisy very loud place. Tables jammed in far to close together. Impossible to have private conversation and people having to apologise and push past when leaving their tables. Chips were completely raw inside but didn’t complain as my Daughter in law embarrassed. Ordered dessert, chocolate and vanilla gateau. This was rock hard and when trying to eat completely stale. One side of my slice was also discoloured. Money refunded for dessert as unable to eat. Waitress said this cake had been stored in fridge for many days. What should have been a special treat for my Daughter in Law was really disappointing.

Very disappointed with the service we received, not just us either. We waited for an hour for a panini and a quiche to be served. Lovely place to eat but timing is crucial.

We had the ultimate roast dinner and the special lamb shank. The roast meat was all dry and overcooked so were the roast potatoes and lamb shank had not been cooked well it was all fatty and sinewy, the plates were too full of vegetables impossible to eat everything. We would not return.

Had breakfast. Quality of food very good, not greasy and a nice selection of items in the full English. I was a little disappointed with the temperature of all the food. We were the first and only table in the restaurant so was expecting a piping hot meal.i could have expected a couple of items being a little cooler than some as breakfast is notoriously hard to serve everything hot at once. The plates weren’t warm either. It was a shame as the food was delicious. My daughter’spancakes and bacon were beautiful and hot.
