We hadn't been back to Palladio for years, so it was a nice treat to go back. Often we forget to think about it when choosing a nice dinner out or a special occasion, even though we live on Stony Point Road. Generally we think of downtown and not heading north. I'm so glad we headed out! Just lovely. From the service to the quality of the food to the atmosphere it was all very enjoyable. One tip: the restaurant doesn't serve spirits beyond what can be concocted from wines and a handful of complementary liqueurs. That wasn't an issue for us, and their reserve list of wines is from their extensive library, although we chose to get the suggested wines offered per course since the somm and chef had worked that out for us. Also, the tiramisu is certainly one of the best I've ever had, including when traveling Italy.

We are a big fan of Palladio and Barboursville Winery. Getting an evening reservation here is difficult as they book way in advance, so when my Dad's 93rd birthday celebration was coming, we figured a late lunch at Palladio would be perfect. And indeed it was! Incredible menu, truly something for all here, from vegetarian to fish to pasta to meats. The salads were fresh from Chef's Garden on property. We particularly enjoy being able to close with a Cheese course but if you haven't had the Tiramisu, don't miss it! Service is EXCELLENT! Attentive but not intrusive. My parents who have traveled extensively in their lives both said they felt they had been transported to an Italian vineyard restaurant.

An outstanding dining experience. Food was amazing, service attentive. Highly recommend the tuna appetizer, veal ravioli, gnocchi. Wines are exceptional. Desserts are fabulous! We will definitely return!

Wonderful spot for a special occasion meal. Top quality food and friendly service. Atmosphere is appropriate for a winery, fairly casual although there is a table cloth.

We love this place. Not only a lovely winery with good wines but fantastic food. We stop here on our way south from New York, everytime.

This is one of our most favorite restaurants in the world! The scenic setting as part of the Barboursville winery is magnificent. The service is friendly, professional and helpful. And the food? Excellent. It's a bit expensive, but well worth the price, even if only for a special occasion. Anytime we're in the area we will go back.

The restaurant was quaint and welcoming. It was a beautiful evening with a nice breeze. The setting was very romantic and the perfect spot to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and the wine complimented the meal. It was an overall memorable evening.

Food: some good, other disappointing. Lobster risotto: lobster tough and risotto dry. Bison tough. Deserts excellent. Wine service was overly aggressive. Wine steward poured more wine without asking. One our company wanted to change to red for bison but was poured more white without asking. Had to ask waiter to call him back to table. I spoke to the waiter after paying about the wine steward after paying the bill: he said that the wine server was under the supervision of the sommelier and gave me his card to complain. Fairly small restaurant, maybe 30+ diners at the time. Seems like management needs to do a better job of coordinating staff to improve the clients' experience. Spent a pleasant 20+ minutes in conversation with the Barboursville wine maker, Luca, before dinner. A delightful experience!

I'm a vegetarian and the main course option was a lovely-sounding zucchini ripieni with lentils. All fine not great, and when I pay that much for dinner; I expect greatness. The reserve red flight was a nice selection.
