Our first visit, and we were totally impressed. The food was delicious , creative preparations. And , for me--the chef and staff easily accommodated my allergies ( even making a separate side dish to accompany my main course ) The wine pairings were excellent!!! We enjoyed a few uncommon varieties -and we purchased a few bottles to take home . The staff was friendly, attentive to details, informative and professional . We will return .

Overall disappointing. We studied the menu extensively online before arriving but they had switched to the summer menu, which had we known, we may have skipped. And then a couple of key items were out of stock. Made for limited choices. I picked an unfortunate pasta that I could have made better at home. The steak was very good.

We saw the menu online and we were so excited to dine here. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we found out the menu online was not up to date so those items weren’t available. Which is fine, no big deal, a bummer, but no big deal. The two selections, lamb and soft shell crab, we decided on, the waiter let us know were also not available for the evening. The food we did have was good, nothing to blow your socks off, but good. The atmosphere is beautiful! It was my birthday which the host knew and I put it on the reservation, yet the waiter, who seemed to be in a rush to leave for the night, didn’t care. He gave the people next to us a happy anniversary plate, the people behind us a happy birthday plate but when it came to us he dropped the dessert and left. For a $300.00 experience, this was a bummer. I’d recommend this place if you book a reservation for when they open so you don’t have to order things you may not want because what you want is sold out. The bottle of wine we got was very good, I’d recommend that as well (Petite Verdot). Sadly, we will not return.

We think Palladio is the best fine dining restaurant in central Virginia. The food is excellent, and the service is second to none. The food presentation is beautiful, and the attention to detail in all aspects of the dining experience is very high. A great choice for special occasions.

It is a beautiful spot, the view is incredible and we were really hoping it would be outstanding. The service was very good, unfortunately the food was decent. It was good but nothing better than you can find a dozen other places nearby for way less money. We don’t plan to go back anytime soon, maybe if the kitchen changes up we will try again, we were disappointed.
