Had an amazing time at the palace. The show was excellent. The food was okay I had better. Keep in mind you are in South Beach you will pay the South Beach price which is not a problem. Just know there Is a 50.00 gratuity on your check your server will expect an additional tip along. If the tip expectation is not met to the servers satisfaction. The server will tell you will need to remove yourself from the table due to the table being for a 2 hour stay while the 1st set of entertainment is still ongoing.( which is not listed after a 300.00 plus check.)

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Palace on Ocean Drive, and I must say it was incredibly disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the treatment we received was nothing short of appalling. Despite having a reservation, the staff seemed dismissive and uninterested in providing even the basic level of service one would expect. As we approached the check-in stand, I felt like a bother rather than a valued guest. Instead of a warm welcome, we were met with indifference. To make matters worse, the security staff attempted to kick me out, insisting that I was not allowed to be there—even though I had confirmed my reservation. It was embarrassing and frustrating, leaving us feeling unwelcome and unwarrantedly targeted. The entire experience was overshadowed by the dismissive attitude of the staff, who seemed more focused on their own conversations than on assisting guests. Palace on Ocean Drive should prioritize customer service and ensure their staff understands the importance of treating guests with respect and courtesy. Unfortunately, I left feeling disheartened and unlikely to return.

For Sunday drag brunch, they offer a 2-hr bottomless mimosa and item off the food menu for $55. I’ve been to Palace serval times, but this last time was lacking. We had reservations and they put my table of 2 down the sidewalk, at the last table. Barely see the queens, and only a couple made the effort to make their way down. Also, drink refills felt slow when comparing to other sections. Didn’t feel like we got a lot of value out of this brunch visit.

We attended the Drag Brunch event. Food from the brunch menu was very good - Short Ribs and Brisket. Server (Jason) was attentive and high-energy - wonderful service. Unfortunately, the majority of patrons were seated inside or in direct view for the show. We and 40 others were seated on the sidewalk with no direct view into the venue. Other tourists who were not customers gathered outside the venue on the street with phones, taking videos and photos of the show while we missed about 90% of the performances. Occasionally performers came out of the building and rushed through the sidewalk tables to collect tips. If you can get a table inside the venue, the brunch might be entertaining - we saw very little of the drag show itself from our table.

Reservation was for 2pm. Arrived at 1:55pm and waited in line for 40 min only to be told there were no tables left. No system when it comes to seating protecting the people with reservations. They literally just sat everyone as it was their turn in line. So what was the point of a reservation? They then offered us seats at the bar but their were not enough to accommodate our party of 6 nothing was done, no apologies just this is what we have take it or leave it. Had a friend standing the whole time and we didn’t catch any of the show as ppl were standing at the front of the bar. We went there to celebrate a friends bachelorette so we stayed because of that. Otherwise we would have left and went elsewhere.
