Nothing could be more convenient, other than an overnight stay here at the Hyatt Carmel Highlands where you could walk to your room after dinner.

Enjoy the vocal stylings of Dino Vera in the Lobos Lounge every Saturday night from 7:00pm until 10pm and Tuesdays from 5:00-9:00. Peer at the wildlife on Bird Rock at Point Lobos through the ship's telescope in the corner, then drop the lens and join the party, dancing to tunes such as "Great Balls of Fire," one of their more raucous covers that always seems to get everyone up and dancing in merriment.

    Food and service were excellent. View during daytime is breathtaking. A much needed respite on crowded weekends. We were thrilled.

    The food was terrific and the view is outstanding. I had the special soup, vegan butternut squash with pepitas and it was yummy. For dinner I ordered the short rib because I always order short rib if it’s on the menu. It was very good. And nothing beats the view from the dining room looking out over the ocean as the sun goes down. It was a great experience.

    We dined here before and had a nice experience. Last night was not a good experience. It was a bit busy, but not overwhelming. We were seated quickly, but then waited about 15 minutes for some water. When a waiter came by he asked us for our dinner order and we had not even ordered drinks. We waited another 10-15 minutes before my husband went to the bar and got our drinks. As my husband was returning to our table with drinks, the waiter finally came over to ask me if I wanted a drink. When our shared appetizer was delivered, I had to ask for some plates as the wait staff was walking away. When our dinner finally arrived the waiter asked two other tables if it was their entries before it was delivered to our table. Both entries were average at best. Definitely not worth the high price. We both walk out of the restaurant disappointed and unhappy. If a restaurant is high end the service and food should reflect that. Both were subpar.

    The staff was polite and he lamb was absolutely delicious. Service was adequate for the evening, but lacked coordination. The restaurant left a casual feeling with a casual experience. Overall, I do not think I would come back.

    Stunning sunset & ocean views. Fresh ingredients & attentive service. Restaurant is currently under renovation. Sure it looks even better after the renovation. Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

    Service was extremely slow, took 45min for the food to arrive. We ordered two cappuccinos and they were served warm, almost cold. They were out of ranch. Serve never came to ask if we needed anything or how our food was. View is phenomenal, but restaurant management is poor, furniture is dated.
