We sat at the bar which was very comfortable. Two of us shared the small fresh seafood tower for 2. It was excellent! We followed up with the lobster bisque which was a piece of art & like nothing I had ever seen before. My husband had the Caesar salad which was beautiful as well. We also shared a lobster Mac & Cheese that could have served 4. - all were very good. A treat for sure as prices are high. Enjoy!

First time dining at Oyster River. The entire Marriott Resort is very impressive. It was evident they hadn’t been open very long and are working through opening challenges. The employees are extremely professional and seemed to understand menu items and did a nice job explaining. Food quality was disappointing and I hope it’s just reflective of start up challenges. Food items we ordered included Chilean Sea Bass, quite small serving but very tasty, lobster bisque was extremely disappointing relative to taste, portion size and presentation. Brussel sprouts were outstanding, highly recommend. Lastly we had the Crab Cake which too was outstanding. Prices were a bit on the excessive side but to be expected at this type of venue. Bottom line is we will be back and give them further time to work out opening issues.

Very enjoyable rooftop dining experience. We’re not overly cost conscious, but felt the prices were noticeably on the high side. Might be fine for expense account dining, but even that is yet to be seen in Palmetto, Florida.

James was the best waiter! Very informative and attentive. The view was spectacular. Not much of a selection on the food, but the Crab cakes were delicious!

Good: hostesses, food presentation, views. Bad: Food. Prawns and Lobster were dry and tasteless, pasta and rice overcooked, flavours bland. Steak was ok, as what you can expect from filet, but also a little bland. The only enjoyable dish was oysters Rockefeller. Presentation was good, but we are not there to just make pictures. Service was OK, nothing special. Even in much less expensive places they would serve water and or wet napkins with shellfish dishes. Drinks were mixed by waiters and not by dedicated bartender, so we skip on them. Wine selection by a glass was pedestrian. Overall huge disappointment, especially considering a hefty bill. I am puzzled by so many "amazing" reviews, perhaps we came in some type of a "bad chef" day.
