    The atmosphere was bubbly. Our server was fantastic - she was friendly, helpful and attentive. Food and drinks were absolutely amazing, five stars! Only a few downsides: water glasses weren't refilled often enough (our dishes were spicy), and the noise level made it nearly impossible to hear/talk with anyone not sitting immediately next to you. (We were seated at a round table of five.) Still overall, a wonderful evening. We will be back!

    I have been coming to this restaurant since it first opened, but I haven't been coming regularly in a while. Wow, things have changed. The place is ready for a refresh in terms of decor. Much of food was so salty we could barely eat it. The tuna Pacifico is one of my favorites, but today it tasted like someone had dumped a bag of sea salt on it. Oyamel no longer seems like a restaurant I want to frequent.

    We had several small plates, gazpacho, guacamole, tacos, and two desserts. The food was fresh and tasty. My only complaint is the sell regular coca cola in 8 oz bottles rather the by a fountain. The carbon foot print of those bottles is terrible. It would be better to charge for refills and do away with the bottles. We went about 2pm and it was a very laid back atmosphere. The couple at the next table was actually playing cards after their meal. We will definitely go back.

    Went on a Monday night and it was busy! But the food was delicious and service was attentive. Will be going again!

    I’ve only eaten at Oyamel three times over the years but I feel like it used to be better than yesterday’s experience. Perhaps when it was more novel. The space is ok. Loud but tolerable. The food was mostly the same. The salsa was very good. But the guacamole was too salty, and most of the dishes we ordered were ok but not stand out. Best things we got were the fish taco and the fried cauliflower. The tamal was too sour, the mushroom taco not good, the Oaxaca taco was ok. Like that. Middling at best.

    We had a great lunch here for my daughter’s birthday! The food and service were outstanding. OYAMEL is now our fave restaurant!
