Wonderful addition to Balham and excellent oysters and shellfish on menu. Would have scored higher if the man in charge had smiled even once. Other staff were nice. Stark interior means it is quite noisy but I will definitely go again.

Very poor service and incredibly expensive for what you actually get. £5 for half a ‘bake at home’ style baguette is extortionate. Oysters were lovely but mussels very rubbery and over cooked. The concept is great but the execution needs some work.

Great new opening in Balham . Amazing Oysters and lovely service . Nice simple Scandì design. I like the idea of 3 prices categories for wine , clear and simple. My only suggestion is offer choice of bread or crackers for cheese as we needed up having to pay for the bread.

Firstly, I would say we really enjoyed the food at Oy Bar! The oysters were fresh and delicious and loved the smoked salmon. It had a good range of dishes and everything arrived in good time. The wine was drinkable and a good range / reasonably priced. it is new and I think there are some things to improve - the atmosphere needs a little shift. It’s very very bright lighting / white walls - which doesn’t lend itself to a wine bar atmosphere. There was no music playing on a Saturday night and the space is very large (it may benefit by being separated into bar and restaurant area) so felt quite sparse. Servers were friendly but seemed a little flustered and we struggled to get people’s attention at times. Overall, really nice food / wine / concept but needs work on the atmosphere !
