From the reviews I had read, I expected good food and great service. The meals we ordered were good but the service was unexpectedly poor which colored our entire experience. Our waitress didn't check in with us at any point after taking our order, and we had to get another server to find her for us so we could get a dessert menu when we finished our entrees. We were celebrating an anniversary but regretted choosing this restaurant for the occasion. At this price point, great service should be expected but what we experienced was poor.

Absolutely terrible service. The food took an extremely long time to be delivered to our table. And the hot meal was delivered cold. We repeatedly had to ask for basics, such as salt & pepper, water, and some of the items that "came with our meal" were never delivered, even after multiple requests to various wait staff. Totally embarrassing that we took out-of-town guests to the Ox and Ocean thinking it would be a lovely dining experience. Not so. It was abysmal.

Had dinner here for our anniversary. We split the Brussels Sprouts appetizer, oved the charred sprouts, delicious! My husband had the lobster and farfalle, very good, could have had a little more lobster in it. I had the halibut, it looked dry but it was cooked perfectly and the black lentils were outstanding. The dreamcicle sour was a dream. Our waitress made the right choices and was informed about the menu choices. The executive chef was very personable and even came over to wish us a Happy Anniversary. The only drawback is that the setting was a bit lively; more suited for a birthday rather than a romantic dinner; however, a walk along the beach changed all that! I would go again!

The only issue was a very wobbly table.. needed to wedge one of the table legs.. not a big deal but come on, it’s 2024, the technology is there..
