Server was great and did warn us about longer wait time for kitchen Front desk check in staff not the most cordial. Reservation for 645 and we got there at six and asked if could be seated early for which they said not possible . Many open tables and when we came back sat at one of the many open tables that were there when we came at 6. Food was good but not outstanding . Overall good for hotel restaurant but nothing that would bring me back other than the on site convenience

We sat outside on a cool Saturday night. We asked for blankets and were told that there weren't any available. We later learned that there were in fact blankets available. Any special request that we made was not fulfilled, and the service, including delivery of the food, was slow. There was a wedding going on inside which may have contributed to the slow service. The food was great, but be warned if you go here on a weekend evening.

This is our first visit to Ox and Ocean since the renovation of this hotel. The hotel hosts a lot of conferences and retreats and so the restaurant may be full of people from a conference, though the night we were there it was mostly empty but still uncomfortably noisy from the bar and events outside. The decor tends to reflect and amplify the noise and really isn't appropriate for a fine-dining restaurant, which O&O aspires to be. The food was inventive and well prepared. Service was also attentive. The restaurant might do better if it were not the only food outlet for dinner at the hotel so trying to be everything from a coffee shop to a fine dining establishment. (There is an outdoor trailer for breakfast and lunch.)

We sat outside on the beautiful patio with a view of the ocean and Channel Islands. The heaters kept us warm. The salmon and grains bowl was delicious. Erica was our server and she was excellent! Friendly, welcoming, attentive. This was our first visit and we will be back!

Honestly this is my new favorite spot. It’s as if classy and chill had a secret love child. The food was unique and tasty and there is live music every Friday night.

Overall food was tasty and well presented. However they had multiple large events occurring simultaneously so the experience for the regular restaurant tables was quite poor. Our server, Aga, was super super nice and made it better for us. But tables were waiting a ridiculously long time for their food and everyone seemed slightly annoyed.

Aga, our waitress, was amazing! Super friendly and personable. However, every time we have eaten at the hotel, which must be about 25 times now, the service is always slow.

We waited for an hour for our food. The medium rare burgers we ordered were burned to a crisp and inedible. The other food was good. The manager was wonderful and sent out desserts, but none of us would go back there.

This was our first dinner at Ox and Ocean. We will definitely come back! The food was quite good from brussel sprouts to pulled pork bao to dessert.

The service and ambiance was good. The food was mixed. We ordered crab cakes for an appetizer. 3 very small crab cakes arrived, and were the best thing all evening. Good crab, crispy coating, slightly spicy aioli. I had the halibut in a butter sauce. The halibut was cooked right, but the sauce was very bland, almost under seasoned. I needed to add the lemon for it to have any real flavor. My date had the swordfish which tasted better than the halibut, but it was over cooked. The portions were also fairly small, so even after an appetizer and entrees, we felt it better to order two desserts rather than share as usual. We have the strawberry hand pie. The pie was good, not great. The best thing about the dessert was the scoop of ice cream. Aside from the crab cakes, the food was forgettable. For $175 (incl tax and tip, no drinks) I would have expected quite a bit better.
