The crown jewel of the hotel, our rooftop restaurant Overlea (meaning, “over the meadows”), is a stunning open concept space with horseshoe bar, floor to ceiling windows, and breathtaking views of historic Newmarket. The menu is a celebration of seasonal simplicity created by Chef Jon Turner. With terraces on each side complete with greenery, lounge furniture and fire tables, Overlea is the perfect place for a quiet escape into an evening of the unknown. Our dinner was amazing. The 12oz steak and duck meals were so good. Presentation was lovely and just the right amount of food. Our attendance were respectful and readily available as needed. A very pleasant experience overall.

Beautiful lobby, great vibe, service good for a pre dinner cocktail with friends. Upstairs at The Overlea : also a beautiful space albeit very loud. Our friendly server had hussle for sure, but was a bit overwhelmed SPECIFICALLY DUE TO too many guests seated all within minutes of each other, and a kitchen having to accomodate everyone at same time also meant a bit of a long wait... Was it a fluke that say walk-in patrons all showed up same time or were we all booked at same time... which is not ideal? Nevertheless, server was very hard working and charming. Halibut was delicious, burrata excellent, striploin fine. Decor and ambiance in lobby and Overlea were great but need some noise canceling features, too loud. I am making myself sound old, but the font size of their menu is RIDICULOUSLY small. A small but easy fix for sure. Can't wait for patio in summer. We will be back.

Overlea is a wonderful addition to Newmarket ! The food was delicious! Our server was very good. Two things they need to improve: 1) it took an hour and a half to get our main courses. Problem seemed to be the kitchen. 2) Room is excessively noisy & echo’y’ as it is all glass on two sides. Very hard to converse. Need some acoustic enhancements.

An amazing meal and experience at Overlea. We enjoyed the oysters and carpaccio to start and the duck and Cornish hen as our mains. Great portions and absolutely delicious. We loved the overall atmosphere, we felt we were not rushed and were able to really take in the evening. Oh and our server Julien was exceptional.

Visit to restaurant on Boxing day evening. Some items were not prepared as previously experienced. For plating, the use of dressing for appetizers was not consistent, crudo plate was drowned in sauce / condiments, while on the capracio, sparse. Smores tart missing the smoked merengue really took away the experience of toasted marshmallows that would have made this dessert special.

The service was very slow. It’s my third time there and always the same thing. Poor and slow service. Very overpriced. However great ambience and menu

We had reserved festive brunch but restaurant had to adjust their menu . Food was good. Very relaxed atmosphere . The violinist added a nice touch . Good overall was good. A few tweaks here and there would take it up a notch . New service they have added to the restaurant so some small growing pains happening. Would definitely go again .
