Chef Eugenia Hobson and her team prepare authentic Greek dishes served attentively in a breezy Aegean-inspired atmosphere. Our signature dishes include the grilled octopus, the kolokithokeftedes (stuffed zucchini fritters), the lavraki whole fish (branzino) filleted table side, and the arni giouvetsi (lamb shank with orzo). Our selection of nine desserts are all made fresh daily in-house and feature Greek classics such as the baklava and the galaktoboureko. Our wine list is meticulously curated on a seasonal basis by son Philip Hobson selecting from Greece's top vineyards who produce indigenous varietals such as Assyrtiko & Xinomavro, and western grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon & Sauvignon Blanc. Our beer selection focuses on bottled Greek brews while our bar is fully stocked to serve both classic cocktails and signature drinks inspired by the best bars in Athens. Outdoor tables are available in the summer months.

We regularly eat at this restaurant and are always pleased with the flavorful items on the menu as well as the vibrant atmosphere and the attentive service. Highly recommended.

Our meal started with a cocktail order, a dirty martini. Our waitress did not know what that was, and had to return to ask again about what a dirty martini was. The drink received was not a dirty martini. Our food was all delivered to our very small table at the same time and our whole dinner was over in under 30 minutes. The food was all just ok. No stars in the lineup. We definitely would not recommend and would not return.

Eating out is getting very expensive, so I expect it to be great for the price. Mama Eugenia’s is my favorite restaurant by a mile! Great food, wine, service, ambience - all delicious!!

Everything in this restaurant is delicious! We were a party of 5 and ordered completely different items; everyone raved. I always have the mussels, calamari and shrimp over orzo; my husband had the filet mignon skewers with potatoes (Appetizer) as his lunch; another ordered the lemon soup and the lamb burger; someone else ordered the surf and turf; another had the chicken breast; the final couple split several appetizers as their lunch. As I said, everyone raved!

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. By far the best restaurant in Shirlington. We were greeted warmly, had great service, and everything we ordered was flavorful and delicious. Cannot wait to go back.
