Chef Eugenia Hobson and her team prepare authentic Greek dishes served attentively in a breezy Aegean-inspired atmosphere. Our signature dishes include the grilled octopus, the kolokithokeftedes (stuffed zucchini fritters), the lavraki whole fish (branzino) filleted table side, and the arni giouvetsi (lamb shank with orzo). Our selection of nine desserts are all made fresh daily in-house and feature Greek classics such as the baklava and the galaktoboureko. Our wine list is meticulously curated on a seasonal basis by son Philip Hobson selecting from Greece's top vineyards who produce indigenous varietals such as Assyrtiko & Xinomavro, and western grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon & Sauvignon Blanc. Our beer selection focuses on bottled Greek brews while our bar is fully stocked to serve both classic cocktails and signature drinks inspired by the best bars in Athens. Outdoor tables are available in the summer months.

We went to dinner at Eugenia's after a performance at Signature Theater. When we walked in we were greeted by a man playing the bouzouki. He explained to me what it was. Fun start! There were 7 of us and we were all seated together at a big table as I'd requested. I love the avgolemono soup and I got everyone at the table to try a cup. We ordered lots of small plates: three spreads with pita, spanakopita, kolokithakia, dolmades, keftedakia, kotopoulo souvlaki. Four in our party also ordered entrees: salmon, lamb chops, chicken breast, and the vegetarian sampler. We also got dessert: baklava, loukoumades with honey and loukoumades with nutella. NOTE: the loukoumades plates are for sharing. I think they tried to tell us but we didn't get the message. :0) Anyway, 5 of 7 companions had never had Greek food before and they all enjoyed the meal very much. Service was excellent. I love the food at Eugenia's and it's a great place to go if you have a vegetarian in your group. I also like that the atmosphere is not as loud as some of the other restaurants in the area. We like to be able to hear our dinner companions.

Everything from our cocktails to every appetizer we ordered was excellent. Yes prices are higher, but the quality shines through!

The six of us shared appetizers, spreads and salads mostly vegetarian with some seafood. Favorites were the eggplant spread, spanakopita, and beet appetizers

We had pre theater dinner. We did small plates. Vegetarian dolmalde leaves were tougher than we have had elsewhere. The dips were outstanding and the pickled beets were delicious. Cocktails on point

This was our first time at this restaurant. The decor is very warm. Our food was very good. However, there were abnormally long delays in getting our appetizers and desserts. Our server, while pleasant was not very attentive. I chalk it up to a very crowded restaurant on a Sunday night. We were seated a table. Our server was also waiting on diners seated at the bar which I believe consumed the majority of her time. Usually good food goes hand in hand with good service. Unfortunately, that was not the case last night. We will not write off Our Mom Eugenia, but will be sure to come at a less busy time.
