Laguna Beach's first sustainable sushi restaurant. At Oto Sushi, we bring you the freshest, highest-quality seafood and ingredients sourced from certified sustainable fisheries and eco-friendly farms, promoting ocean conservation and responsible farming with every bite.

Our scratch kitchen makes all our sauces in-house, free from preservatives and artificial ingredients. Our menu is thoughtfully designed to cater to various preferences, with 98% of our offerings gluten-free, including gluten-free soy sauce, tempura, and more.

Our signature menu features standout items like the Laguna Heat Roll; Nigiri with Yakumi, where each piece of premium fish is delicately enhanced with fresh, seasonal garnishes; and our award-nominated Oto Burgers, a sushi-inspired twist on a classic burger with bold umami flavors. For lovers of Japanese barbecue, our Robatayaki selections bring the rich, smoky flavors of traditional Japanese grilling to your table.

Excellent sashimi, creative rolls, and a Japanese cheesecake that was an experience in itself. The only complaint I had was the noise level and the tight squeeze between tables. Will definitely be back!

Noisy for sure but the quality of the food overrides everything else. Service was solid. Don’t get many 5’s from me! We loved it and will be back to test the consistency.

What a great addition to Laguna Beach! Oto Sushi has great sushi chefs whose sushi presentation matches the high quality of the food. All of the servers are efficient and personable and one feels very welcome by all.

Food was good but the service was not. My wife and I sat at our table without a server coming by to even give us water for 25 min.

The service, location, ambiance and atmosphere were lovely. The sushi was good, but didn’t compare to sushi spots in LA. I have yet to find one in Laguna beach that does.

Have been to Oto sushi many times and every time has been amazing. The sushi is so fresh and so creative and the service is outstanding… We had Wes tonight as our server. Thanks again for an amazing evening and we will be back.

Trenton our server was great . The smoked octopus was out of this world . It was our 3rd time and will keep going back .
