Otherside Wine Bar is here to bring authenticity and soul to the community in Glen Cove and beyond. We focus on natural wines that express the places where they grow and the people who grow them. Our menu is rooted in Mediterranean cooking with an emphasis on local ingredients, featuring finely-tuned small plates meant for sharing.

Located in the historic JH Coles Homestead, our dining room dates back to 1810—a perfect place to gather and celebrate our community over a meal.

I made a reservation for 6pm as the later time slots only had ‘outdoor’ or ‘bar’ options. My husband and I wanted to have standard seating, this was our first night out since having our baby. We were sat at a table, ordered drinks and then our server came over and said that the hostess is new and she messed up, our table was reserved for someone else and she’d move our stuff to the high top shared bar area. It didn’t seem like we had much of a choice so we got up and moved. I regret moving because we had reservations for standard seating too!!! It would have been nice if our first drinks were comped for their mistake. Especially since we had reservations and they knew that!

Went for the vibe. Stayed for the wine. Going back for the burger. Hands down the best burger I've ever had. Otherside is in a historic building in Glen Cove and the owners here have taken great care to remodel it in a way that honors its importance. As the official starting point of the downtown in Glen Cove, Otherside Wine and Southdown Coffee (located in the same building) have created a vibe that would make Brooklynites jealous.
