Depuis 1998, le Osteria La Spiga est renommé pour sa cuisine du nord de l'Italie authentique. C'est un hommage gastronomique à la région Émilie-Romagne. La chef de La Spiga et co-fondatrice, Sabrina Tinsley, prépare tous les éléments à partir de zéro, en utilisant des aliments entiers et des produits faits maison. Vous ne trouverez jamais d'ingrédients artificiels ou chimiques dans vos plats... jamais! Ce que vous trouverez c'est l'huile d'olive de la plus haute qualité, des fromages et charcuteries délicieux, légumes de saison, des sauces savoureuses, des pâtes faites à la main et plus. L'établissement croit au local, biologique et durable, et les viandes sont sans hormones et sans antibiotiques. Il offre également plusieurs options végétaliennes, végétariennes, produits sans gluten et sans produits laitiers à ceux qui ont des restrictions alimentaires. Vous allez adorer autant l'atmosphère que la nourriture! Situé dans le bâtiment Piston & Ring astucieusement rénové, son design rustique et élégant créé une ambiance intime et accueillant pour la famille, mais assez sympa pour un repas romantique en tête à tête. It was my wife birthday, I called before and both the hostess and server were great to make the evening special. Food amazing as always!!! Can’t wait to go back!

The restaurant is wonderful and the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I only dinged one star because of a presentation flaw (in my opinion). The Polenta Fritta, while tasty, were two small triangles with a sprig of cilantro. These things need a sauce of some kind, much like other restaurants I've eaten similar dishes before. One of the servers brought us a kind of zesty aioli that worked perfectly. I even commented that she should suggest the addition to management. The other presentation issue I had was the Caprese salad that is semi-deconstructed with small slices of mozzarella served aside a pile of sungold cherry tomatos with a smattering of minced basil. The dish only contained a single full leaf of basil as a garnish. The joy in caprese is being able to enjoy all the flavors in one bite, not build your own and then be missing an crucial ingredient. The main courses of Filetto Estivo and Costata di Maiale were phenomenal and very satisfying. We sat at the bar and got to speak with different staff members who passed through at times and their warm personalities made me with I was a local who could become a regular.

Still my favorite place for the food but service quality has significantly dropped off since the pandemic. Last night, for example (and this has now happened to us the last three times we’ve dined here), they completely forgot our appetizers and brought our primi and secondi dishes all at once. So half our food was getting cold while we were working thru the pasta dishes. 😕

Cannot have a tasting of any wines (instead, have to buy half a glass), little bugs flying around continuously, very mediocre service.

We do not offer free wine samples, as unfortunately, it is not a sustainable business practice. Our staff is trained to describe and recommend our wines by the glass in detail, and recommend a half glass to try the wine before committing to a full glass or bottle. We apologize for any little bugs in the restaurant as a result of the summer weather and open air space. We brought out of town guests and were embarrassed how bad the food was. We all had appetizers that were good and then our pasta dinners came. No one liked their meal!! 2 of us ordered the truffle pasta and received a dish that looked like butter egg noodles. The sardine pasta was disgusting and the bolognese looked like it came out of a jar. There are so many good restaurants in Seattle and we are incredibly disappointed we took our friends here. I guess we should have known when there were so many empty tables on a Saturday night. We did enjoy our server.

We make all our dishes from scratch, from sauces to pastas and everything in between. That was the fattiest piece of meat I’ve ever seen or eaten. At least 1/3 of the meal was fat ! Deserts were very good!
