Osteria del Pastaio, specializes in traditional Italian Cuisine. Our menu reflects the culinary team’s passion for using only the freshest ingredients. Our Artisan pastas are made daily, our breads are baked fresh each morning, our seasonal desserts and candies are hand-made. Our soups are all from vegetarian stock and whenever possible our produce comes from local organic farmers. While we did not appreciate the nickel and diming (pushing bread and water without disclosing it is charged for, and 3% cc fee), the house-made pasta was good as were the drink and entree portions.

I reserved for my mans bday and I included that in the reservation. I thought it would have been acknowledged but it wasn’t. The food was great but the arrabiata tasted like a bottle of hot sauce was dumped in it. It was tasty but hard to enjoy due to the spice. Good experience overall though.

Our server, Jorge, was exemplary! Paid attention to every detail of our dining experience. The food was excellent as well!

A neighborhood gem. Just an over all-around great restaurant. If you eat lamb, the lamb chops are a must. A hearty portion of great value with veggies.

A MUST every time we are in town. The cheese wheel pasta was unbelievable and highly recommended. If you’re in the mood for pasta, this is the place!

Showed up about 30 minutes early for our reservation and they were able to accommodate! Since it was beautiful out we sat outside but I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about the service. However, my worries were unjustified as our server was so kind so attentive and quite entertaining!! The food was quick and so delicious all of our plates were clean by the end of the meal! The show with the signature dish was adorable and food definitely lived up to the hype. The espresso martini is one of the best I’ve had and the lemon drop martini was also outrageously good! I would recommend this place 10 times over!

Delicious meal from start to finish! Our waiter(Christian) was wonderful! It was the best meal we had while visiting Chicago. The pasta was amazing and the lamb chops were done to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant.
