Osteria Amore came to life because we believe in the power of food to change your day, or in our case, change your life.

Owner Eduardo Daja has been working in restaurants since he was a teenager growing up in Italy, and his time in culinary school only strengthened his passion for food. After culinary school, Ed stayed in Bologna to work at a family-owned restaurant. He moved to Utah eight years ago, and found himself missing his first love, food. For the past three years, Ed has been managing an Italian restaurant while also maintaining a career in tech and finally made the life-changing decision to open his own restaurant.

That big decision was made possible for Ed when he met Marco Cuttaia, Osteria Amore’s executive chef and partner. Ed’s training in Bologna, considered the food capital of Italy, and Marco’s upbringing in Palermo, known for its incredible street food, bridge northern and southern Italian culinary tradition in a way that’s never been done in Salt Lake City.

Wonderful food, service and ambiance! So welcoming and our daughter felt very celebrated on her birthday. A fantastic experience and evening from start to finish. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!

Waited 25 min to be seated at 6:15 despite reservation and multiple open tables. Waited 15 min to order. Waited 25 min for salads. Ceaser salad had anchovies despite request to omit. One party member asked for carpaccio instead of salad, which, despite asking agin to bring out after salad arrived, came about 15 min later. When the dishes arrived, we all enjoyed our food.

A wonderful spot for dinner, it was our first time here and we loved it! The food was absolutely delicious. We chose it because of the vegetarian and gluten free options, and they definitely delivered. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Some of the best true Italian food in the state. The head chef and pastry chef are brothers from Italy. Highly recommend and will be going back.

The food, ambience, and service was impeccable! For a fancy night out, this place is perfect! Josh, our server, was so attentive and informative!

Visiting from Dallas/Ft Worth. Was recommended to Osteria Amore by a local. Service and food was outstanding. Arlex made makes a great Negroni! Will definitely eat here again!

AMAZING and wish there was an Osteria Amore in Boise. Just about Everything is homemade and the flour of which it’s all made, I was able to eat (I can’t have enriched or fortified flours so I appreciate when restaurants use certain flours) If you can’t get a reservation for dinner, go for lunch like we did. Ravioli Pere e Gorgonzola with Truffles were really good but didn’t have strong truffle flavor. Alittle overpriced but understandable. I love truffle, so I had to try it! The sauce was good and I soaked it up with the homemade table bread! Osteria Amore was rich and delicious!!! Panini Sandwich (which O don’t think was on the menu) was made from the pizza dough, huge portion and also very good. At 1:30 Our party of 5 shared these 3 plates because we had an early 4:30 dinner reservation at another restaurant. At the end of our night, Osteria Amore was superb and we had wished we had fully indulged there and skipped our dinner reservations elsewhere. We will definitely be back and know to make a reservation WAY in advance.
