Osteria Amore came to life because we believe in the power of food to change your day, or in our case, change your life.

Owner Eduardo Daja has been working in restaurants since he was a teenager growing up in Italy, and his time in culinary school only strengthened his passion for food. After culinary school, Ed stayed in Bologna to work at a family-owned restaurant. He moved to Utah eight years ago, and found himself missing his first love, food. For the past three years, Ed has been managing an Italian restaurant while also maintaining a career in tech and finally made the life-changing decision to open his own restaurant.

That big decision was made possible for Ed when he met Marco Cuttaia, Osteria Amore’s executive chef and partner. Ed’s training in Bologna, considered the food capital of Italy, and Marco’s upbringing in Palermo, known for its incredible street food, bridge northern and southern Italian culinary tradition in a way that’s never been done in Salt Lake City.

Osteria Amore is our favorite restaurant, and tonight was easily the best experience we’ve had so far! Every visit is amazing, but tonight stood out, thanks to Josh, our fantastic server. He put together an incredible three-course dinner that felt effortless and perfect. The food was, as always, absolutely phenomenal—this place never stops impressing us. From the delicious dishes to the warm and welcoming vibe, Osteria Amore nails it every time. Can’t wait to come back for another unforgettable evening!

Heard about this place for years... best ever my friends and family have said... Wrong! Bright lighting, no music to help with the mood/atmosphere, just loud dishes snd screaming kids. Buy perhaps the most disappointing was the food. Sauce way too salty, pasta very undercooked and portions were ridiculously small and SO overpriced.

Phenomenal service and food. Really nice to have this option and we will be back to try more of the menu since the specials sounded too good to pass up and they absolutely were

Delightful meal, late on a Saturday evening. Beautiful atmosphere with the kindest wait staff. Our experience was a delight.

Wonderful food, service and ambiance! So welcoming and our daughter felt very celebrated on her birthday. A fantastic experience and evening from start to finish. Highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!

Waited 25 min to be seated at 6:15 despite reservation and multiple open tables. Waited 15 min to order. Waited 25 min for salads. Ceaser salad had anchovies despite request to omit. One party member asked for carpaccio instead of salad, which, despite asking agin to bring out after salad arrived, came about 15 min later. When the dishes arrived, we all enjoyed our food.

A wonderful spot for dinner, it was our first time here and we loved it! The food was absolutely delicious. We chose it because of the vegetarian and gluten free options, and they definitely delivered. Highly recommend this restaurant.
