Osteria Ama is tucked into the corner of a small shopping center, but we were so happy to find it! I was expecting a very small seating area inside, but there are actually 3 to 4 different seating areas, with plenty of room between tables. The rooms are decorated nicely, with some modern touches, and nice lighting. We had heard the food was terrific and we were not disappointed! The bread was hot out of the oven and absolutely delicious! Their version of Cesar salad was a nice size as a side salad with the creative touch of small roasted corn instead of croutons - we loved it. We also shared the sausage and broccoli rabe appetizer. One of the best I have had! My husband had the spicy spaghetti with crabmeat and I tried the lobster ravioli special. My husband loved his dish. I was surprised by my entrée. Our waiter did not explain anything - what arrived was a large plate (could have shared between 2 people) of 6 raviolis covered with an assortment of seafood - mussels, scallop, calamari, shrimp and crab! It was really more of a seafood medley than lobster ravioli. The sauce was also a bit spicy, which I would have liked to have known ahead of time. The dish was prepared extremely well and was very good - just not what I had in mind. There was also live music! A singer entertained us throughout our meal - we really enjoyed her singing!

Osteria Ama is a gem! We brought friends with us that had not dined here before. Everything was excellent...service and food!

As always, the food is delicious! Our table service was slow, not sure if it was because of dining room or kitchen understaffing. We were unpleasantly surprised by the previously unannounced $48 price of the lobster ravioli special. All that said, we'll still return.

Excellent!!! Second time there and WILL not be our last!! Better than their Chadds Ford restaurant by all aspects.

What a great find! Don’t be put off by the location of this gem (in a small shopping center) in “suburban” West Chester. This lovely BYOB is charming; a bit like casual meets chic. The food is excellent and the service was great.

It was our first time there and the food was delicious. The only thing I regret ordering was the Caesar salad. It was just ok. I wish they had the specials written out so we could study them a bit and know the prices. There were a lot of them. It was my fault for not asking but my husband’s pasta and seafood dinner was $49. If he had realized it, he probably would have gotten something else. It was very large but I think it was way overpriced. They said it had crab in it but we did not realize it was a fried soft shell crab sitting on top. Even the waitress was not sure what it was. We would have preferred just some crab in with the other seafood. My dinner was delicious and we will be back.
