Osso & Kristalla is open for lunch and dinner and focuses on using only fresh and local ingredients. The kitchen is overseen by Executive Chef Danny Trace. Lunch offers salads, wood-fired pizzas, pasta and creole-Italian house specialties. At dinner, Osso & Kristalla transforms to a modern, yet relaxed lounge atmosphere with a full bar and extensive wine selection, all offered by the glass. Excellent overall. All of our food was quite good, and reasonably priced. It was “Restaurant Week” featuring brunch (regular menu items for a $25 fixed price). The service was excellent. When I found my Bloody to be too spicy for my taste, I was brought a different cocktail without a moment’s hesitation!

Service was awful. The place was empty. We got the menu for Houston restaurants week. The Amuse-bouche was cornbread that was days old and cold. I told the server and she said it was fresh..it was not. She said our cornbread is dry. The poached eggs I had on my salmon were cooked to an oblivion and were basically hard boiled eggs..the yolk was gray. It was so over cooked and it was cold. Disgusting. Our server was counting money in the bar and was not attentive to us. Terrible experience.

Definitely make a reservation if you're planning to dine on the night of a big local event. We were able to arrive a bit early and had a couple of cocktails from the bar which were fantastic. For dinner we had the Crab Polpette, Louisiana Tomato Salad, Shrimp & Grits, and the Strawberry Shortcake - everything was delicious!!

The food was excellent, and the service was very good, but the restaurant was a bit too warm to be comfortable, especially since it was so hot outside being August in Houston. Also, we were sat at a table right under the AC duct and it kept dripping condensation on our table and sometimes in our drinks. It was a very busy night so there was nowhere else to move us but maybe that particular table should've been left out for seating. They did know about the condensation issue so it wasn't a surprise when we pointed it out.

Setting was great! Food and drinks were great! Hostess and servers had a miscommunication and we had to wait for someone to finally notice us.

My 20th visit pre game and the worst experience ever. Slammed with walkins, the OK crew couldn’t recover to serve us regulars that dine there often. So despite 6+ empty tables OUR reserved table wasn’t ready. Waited 10 min to order drinks but our food order arrived BEFORE the cocktails Despite a shoulder to. Shoulder staffing level there clearly are not enough. Bartenders to serve the clientele. Try again when they’re not crowded

We had a great time, great service, food was excellent. The only issue was with lack of air conditioning, I know it’s hot but that was not acceptable. Hope to return under better conditions, thanks
