Fresh fish served with care and utmost attention. Kind and welcoming staff. Some items were definitely overpriced but not unexpected in this area. Overall enjoyable light lunch.

Telephone doesn't work so good luck trying to get anyone on the line. Food is mediocre. Place was toasty, stuffy and poorly circulated like they were skipping on air con. We were late 10 minutes for our dinner reso but were rushed out in 50. We tried to call the restaurant to let them know we were running late. The server asked us about 9 times if we needed anything else in trying to push us out after 20 minutes into our meal. If you are looking for a place to enjoy your meal and relax with some conversation, this is definately not the place to go.

Great place for a couple to go to for a date. We went there for our 5 year anniversary so we were ready to pay for the experience we wanted as a night out. We weren’t disappointed. The ambience, experience, service and food especially were fantastic. High quality, delicious and lovely to watch as it’s prepared. The whole setup feels chic and modern. An authentic Japanese food experience with a modern twist. Loved it. Price conscious people will find this place pricey as it is on mid-higher price range but you're paying for the experience when you go out aren’t you? This place definitely is that. For price comparison, we paid $180 with tips, a bottle of sake, 2 courses and dessert. You can definitely pay $80-100 for 2 and walk away full. Truly enjoyed it, you won’t be disappointed.

The food was decent, and the drinks good, but the overall value isn’t here. The menu is priced for the location rather than the quality, which is a tough proposition in a city with so many standout Japanese offerings. If you’re in the area and don’t want to go further than a couple blocks this is worth a try, but probably only once. The Wagyu was our only highlight that we felt had value for quality and cost

Was asked to move from our reserved seats after 1.5 hours to make room for other reservations.. I understand that they want to make money but wish I knew of their intentions, I would have booked elsewhere if I knew there was a time limit.

Food was good but the concept makes it too pricey. Maybe okay for a drink and a snack but if you want to walk away full, expect a pretty hefty bill. Also, it was a bit pretentious for my liking, but that's just me.

A great addition to the sometimes over-hyped Yaletown restaurant scene. Really enjoyed this spot and will definitely come back again. We ordered a set of 5 hand rolls each and some apps which was great way to introduce oneself to the menu. The cocktails were also really good! Service was spot on too. Very attentive.
