Food was gorgeous and staff and music were also fab but realised following morning I’d been over charged by almost 30pound rang 1st thing and told the manager would call me still waiting unfortunately

4 of us ate in the restaurant 3 had fish and chips and they all said it was delicious but far too much. I had the steak and ale pie it was the best ive ever had. I would defo recommend

Had the afternoon tea for two. Lovely sandwiches, pastry and cakes. Great atmosphere, quick and friendly service. I would recommend. Looking forward to going back again!

This was our second visit and the food was excellent on both occasions but the service is slow. 1.5 hours after first sitting down our dirty plates from our only course were still in front of us and the serving staff at times either totally disappeared or stood in small groups chatting and ignoring customers. We ordered desert took another 30 minutes to arrive and the server then had to explain it wasn’t as on the menu as they’d run out of something. As I was paying the bill I tried to explain politely that the service was very slow and all I got for my trouble was a sarcastic ‘see ya’ as I turned my back to leave.

Disappointed to find no small portions for Sunday lunch like there used to be. Don’t eat big portions and like a dessert however we were told it’s not on any more. We had the Sunday roast (large portion) and couldn’t manage a dessert. We were charged the full amount (£25.95) even though we didn’t manage dessert and had to have the bill checked which was disconcerting for us. The bill was rectified and all was well but we felt cheated.
