We were a large enough group that the gratuity was automatically added to our bill and I felt that our server felt she had already been guaranteed her tip so didn’t put in any great effort. She was friendly enough, but not super attentive. They ran out of pizza dough, food was over cooked, half of my mussels were empty and quite a few that were intact, tasted skunky. It was busy when we arrived but bar emptied out almost completely within a half hour of our reservation, so felt that the quality of the food couldn’t be blamed on it being busy. We had intended to stay and have more drinks at the bar (we were celebrating a birthday) but felt we were expected to leave right after we finished eating. Likely the first and last time we will eat here.

Nice atmosphere and a lot of options on the menu. We have been twice, fordt time we order a sub par steak sandwich, zero peppers or onions, very bland. Also.order a burger that was very average. Second time we went we order beer nachos.. Pretty sure it was a hamburger patty, cut into perfect squares, fried up and put on top of the nachos. Tasted fine, but odd. Order a marg pizza, it came with only tomato and mozza and very under cooked. And then we wanted to order dessert and more drinks but the service was too slow, we ended up having to pass. Tried twice, not going again.

Just left Orso on Brunswick St. Halifax for a valentines dinner with another couple. Service was top notch and we tipped accordingly. I had the Caesar salad and Calabrese pizza. I would give the salad a 7.5 and the pizza a 9/10. Others had pasta dishes. All very delicious and flavoufull, especially the pasta with mushrooms and gargonzola. The guacamole onion rings were just ok. Service was fast and not a detail to be missed. We were very impressed and will be back

They charged for salsa and sour cream with a nacho order. I’ve never seen this before unless noted as such…

We were warmly greeted after a few minutes and showed to the table. Our server was friendly and attentive but new and did not know a lot about many of the dishes The food was pretty okay. We enjoyed the guacamole-onion-rings, my friend's fish and chips were good, my calamari was so-so. They serve Garrison beer which we both like but we were disappointed that they didn't have much else in the way of local craft beer. The drink prices on the cardboard stand on the table are higher than what is shown in the menu. I pointed this out to the server but we were still charged the higher prices. The music was suited to a dance-bar but not to a pub. We did not have to wait long for our food (which was hot) and the beer (which. was cold). If invited to go back I would, but I probably wouldn't choose it If it were up to me.

We reserved a table, it was the evening of a big hockey game. We have done this before with great success. Service was extremely slow. Our table of 4 was seated at 5:15. Drinks did not arrive until 6. We told our server we had tickets to the 7pm game. Food arrived at 615, 3 of 4 meals. The 4th arrived 5 min later. Ordered quesidillas. They were barely filled, dry and tasteless. Our friend ordered a grilled chicken burger. Chicken was dry and tasteless. I asked for a second beer at 615. It arrived at 630 as we asked for the bills. Overall a disappointing experience.

I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times. This was the second time for me ordering the portobello mushroom burger. The first time it was absolutely delicious. However, this time it was very rubbery and too tough to chew. Would not recommend that based on this experience also the the lemon potatoes were extremely salty to the point I couldn’t finish them
