Orsa & Winston est le dernier restaurant du chef réputé Josef Centeno. Il possède également le Bäco Mercat et le Bar Amá, tous deux situés également au centre-ville. Offrant un menu de dégustation variant à tous les soirs, le restaurant propose un mélange d'une cuisine italienne et japonaise. )&W is a small restaurant that seems to promise an accessible-if-expensive tasting menu and personal service. Unfortunately, the quality of the experience--in particular, the ambience and the food--was insufficient to justify the cost of both money and time. Ambience: The bare walls, large empty central space on the restaurant floor, and empty shelves and stations in the open kitchen felt oddly cold and unwelcoming. We felt like we had to whisper. Service: The highlight of the meal was choosing a bottle of wine with the sommelier (even though, given the wine list’s mark-ups, we ended up with a $92 bottle that retails for $21). But we thought the fact that our waiter never once asked us how anything was or whether we were enjoying our meal—despite the fact that we didn’t finish courses 1-3—was telling. Food: The first mushroom course was cloyingly sweet. The second course—a wet heap of bland vegetables that were both undercooked (beans) and mushy (apple slices)—felt like a slap in the face at this price. The tough skin left on the squash was actually unpleasant to eat. The third course was a small amount of tomatoes in the center of a large pile of unwieldy and bland egg noodles and a handful of overpowering pine nuts, the flavor of which was unintegrated into the dish. We enjoyed the next two (“complimentary”) dishes more. The stack of potatoes in the main course did not help explain the cost surcharge for the vegetarian menu. Dessert was good, although it was effectively the third fruit dish of the night.

Excellent service and the dishes were amazing. The chef creates delicious masterpieces and even the beer recommendations were stellar.

Super cute restaurant and the servers were so so kind and knowledgeable. We had 8 dishes total which were an absolute treat! My spouse and I each had a dish we didn’t really like - and they were different dishes. We felt it’s a little expensive but overall a high quality experience.

An exceptional meal, with surprising flavors and compositions, easy and professional service, and a top notch sake menu. Vegetarian tasting menu is unreal, and felt bespoke. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

Low key. Well earned Michelin star. Plainly speaking it was a great deal of tasty good food at a reasonable price. Unpretentious yet exquisite.
