Had to wait 45 minutes to be seated for my 830pm reservation. No apology from the FOH manager for them not properly managing their walkins and reservations.

The food needs some tweaking. The guacamole tastes like lime. The barbacoa was tasteless. The picanha tacos were fatty. The fish was excellent. They need more bar glasses. Everything came in a birdbath. This restaurant has great potential.

There for a birthday. Server was amazing, food was excellent, decor beautiful. Only negative was the size of the cocktail to the price.

Unfortunately not a good experience. Personnel needs training to know the difference between scotch and bourbon. The concept of a Mexican Steakhouse, should have been a red flag. Appetizers not made fresh or from scratch, when the entrees came out, the tortillas from the tacos were come, my NY strip was also cold. Plates and meal were cold!!!! Drinks were poorly made (margaritas) too much salt on the rim, etc. Definitely not the same food as its Yucatán counterpart. I can definitely say not the same experience. Most likely I will not be bringing my family back or my international clients. Pricey!!!!

I think the worst thing we could have seen was a review comparing this place to Javier’s. It is definitely not like Javier’s unless you only refer to the ambiance. The food at Javier’s is authentic Mexican food while the food here is a modern blend of creativity and trendiness. The service is amazing so that paired with the ambiance made for a great time however the food was ok.

Everything we ordered was great. The octopus appetizer was one of the best we’ve had. The sides are the perfect size for 2-3 people to share and they weren’t over priced. Tristen was our waiter and he was great. Not hovering over us but still checked on us periodically. The tables were a good size and the chairs were really comfortable. We had a great experience there and will definitely be going back. It’s so nice to have an upscale restaurant on this side of town without having to go to Scottsdale.

We had a great first experience at Origen last night. Service was quick and friendly. The cocktails were excellent. Apps and entrees came out quickly, and were not only delicious, but visually appealing as well. We're looking forward to coming back with friends and trying more of their unique menu.

The ambience and overall appearance of the restaurant was cool but not enough to make me go back. Prices are relatively high so to be given a paper menu was surprisingly. Like just printed off and passed out. Honestly we didn’t like anything we ate. Everything was bland and lacking flavor. We got the pork belly tacos, smoky mac n cheese and the Brie cheese appetizer. Not worth the $150 bill in my opinion.

The place has a great vibe. Solid decor however the food is tasty but overly priced for the amount of meat you get in some of the tacos. The salsas are good but they didn’t have a traditional red sauce which I would’ve enjoyed. Speaking only about the tacos, the portions are small and if you order the one with bone marrow, you’re paying $35 for the marrow as the tacos had maybe 4 oz of steak and the avocado was so thin you could see through it. The margarita was super small but potent. The bar area looks amazing and I’m will to try again but for apps and a beer
