Located in the heart of Toronto's stylish fashion district, Oretta offers a distinct variety of private dining spaces designed to make you feel at home. Our mezzanine floor has two feature rooms; L'attico and Sorrgiorno, which can be used independently or as a whole dependant on your event needs. Our presentation kitchen on a 15 foot long marble top island is the most versatile component of the L'attico private dining space, offering space for a satellite bar or cooking demonstration from one of our Chef's. The Sorrgiorno provides an intimate dining experience with views overlooking the vaulted ceilings of the main dining room.

First issue was they were giving us a hard time for wanting to sit outside when there were plenty of tables open. Second, it took over 25 min to receive our cocktails and the restaurant was no busy at all. When my drink came it barely had any bourbon in it. Literally finished it in two sips. Third, the food was good but not where I would say you have to go there, or it’s an absolute must. Fourth our waiter definitely had an attitude like he was doing us a favor He took our order and then we never saw him again. Never came to see if the food was good or if we wanted anything else. We would have liked to order some more wine and deserts but at that point we decided we would go somewhere else. It’s too bad because the restaurant has a nice vibe but a poor waiter ruined the entire experience. I would consider other options as there are tons of fantastic restaurants in Toronto and one doesn’t need to put up with this when the food is above average.

We had the summerlisouse and it was super. Fantastic food. Great ambiance outdoors and amazing service. First time there but looking forward to returning soon

Food quality was mostly good for summerlicious though the pasta was just okay and not what I would expect from a high-end restaurant. Portions were terrible, the size of the pasta meager and the dessert a single cannoli. Service was also slow and the waitress took a long time to get back to us at the beginning to take our order (even though we arrived before peak time ~5)

Service was lacklustre. We never formally had a waiter or waitress introduced to us. We had a waiter from the bar deliver water, then waited 25 mins and nobody else approached our table. We eventually flagged down a nearby waiter to request some tea and orange juice. We also had to flag down the same waitress again for a food order. Told her we didn’t know who our waiter was and asked if this could be clarified. Someone later came over from the bar and apologized for not approaching earlier as she thought we were waiting for our 3rd guest. Even if we were waiting, isn’t it common courtesy to check in to see if we wanted drinks or anything to eat within the 25 mins we were sitting there? Eventually got our food and it tasted good and we were happy with our meal. After all that, we had to find someone to try and pay our bill and it wasn’t even the same waiter. So we had 3 different “servers” total? Despite the food being good, I’d rather go somewhere with better service in the future. Not only that, trying to coordinate our own waitstaff meant we sat in the restaurant for way longer than we wanted. We spent over 2.5 hours in the restaurant due to slow poor service. Will not be returning.

Summerlicious menu was just not it. I love oretta for brunch but this time was awful

Went with a friend for dinner as part of her bachelorette. Beautiful spot, food was great.

It felt like fast food service and flavourless food. It could have just been an off day, but normally we are asked how the food is, drink refills. The presentation was beautiful, but there wasn't much flavour. I also don't think it is customary for restaurants to expect you to eat your dessert with the same cutlery used for dinner. I had never experienced that before.
