Orelle is a modern French restaurant located on the 24th floor of 103 Colmore Row, situated in the heart of the city’s business district and comprises a restaurant, cocktail bar, all-day café and terrace.

The name Orelle draws inspiration from the French words for gold (or) and her (elle). It is also the name of a French mountain village.

Orelle offers 360-degree, panoramic views across the city and beyond. Open for lunch and dinner, Orelle will serve a menu featuring both classic and modern French dishes. The small but beautifully designed bar will offer both classic and innovative cocktails, all expertly crafted by some of Birmingham’s best mixologists.

Service was excellent friendly & attentive. Beautiful setting and views over Birmingham, only to one very small moan which I did not mention, my main lunch choice (coq au vin) the chicken was very dry and potato felt like it had been waiting in the kitchen too long before serving. However I would attend the restaurant again just to experience the setting and service.

Steaks both overdone but it was a nice piece of fillet so couldn’t be bothered to try and get attention of a waiter to complain I did take a couple of photos to show them when I get asked if everything is ok with the meal, but I wasn’t asked throughout or after the meal. So I was two busy looking and working out the 12.5% service charge I wasn’t going to pay. Also didn’t realise until I got home I was charged for 2 waters £11 when we only ordered one. Desserts were nice and a great size So it was ok but for the price I won’t be going back.

This has been one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had. The food was impeccable but the service was extraordinary. My husband has particular dietary needs that make dining out difficult. However, the way Mikaela and the manger relentlessly worked to find a solution for him made me a lifetime fan of Orelle. We’re only in Birmingham for a week, but we will be sure to go back again before leaving. Thank you again for an incredible experience and memory!

Enjoyed another excellent evening of fine food with the chef's tasting menu and fine complimentary wine, the staff were as ever attentive and friendly. The views are exceptional and panoramic, and add to the quality of the experience. Highly recommended.

Our first visit to orelle, the restaurant and views are stunning and the staff very knowledgeable and attentive We were disappointed that there wasn’t any broccoli side available so was offered a side salad instead which was literally a bowl of leaves ….. The pork dish although tasty was no more than a pork chop and slightly overdone however my partners chicken dish was fine Not sure I would rush back simply because I’ve had better mains for half the price

My friend and I enjoyed a 3 course price fixed lunch with 2 glasses of wine each. The entire experience was lovely, will definitely be going back.

Not for us. Very poor service and confusion with orders. Long wait in between courses. Wrong side. No side. Need less staff wondering folding napkins, and more staff paying attention to detail. So disappointed.

The food was lovely and the service was good as well. The food was served very late(uncomfortably so), however they apologised for the delay and compensated by removing the cost of our sides from the bill.
