i booked the afternoon tea for my birthday, and for such a beautiful hotel i had high expectations for the food which were sadly not met. The cakes were far too sweet and tasted quite stale. The scones were the only good part of the entire afternoon tea. The Orchid Martinis were very disappointing as I was looking forward to drinking a pretty little cocktail described as a “cloudy sensation” however the alcohol was far too strong and it was all that we could taste. We could only stomach a couple sips which is such a waste! The service was 10/10 and i did receive a lovely surprise for my birthday (a little chocolate dessert and birthday song played on the piano) - so thank you for this!! The only let down was the food!

Everything was fantastic, couldn’t ask for better service. Food was delicious, it was a great surprise for my mum’s 80th birthday celebrations.

Whilst the setting and views are lovely. It lacked the attention to detail. No one upon arrival greeted us, we had to ask someone from reception, who sort the correct member of staff to seat us in the Tea Room. Asked if we had any dietary requirements, noted a nut allergy and no meat. We were brought chicken sandwichs and pistachio cakes! Plates had to be returned twice to correct these errors. With only 1 other table there, they were not busy. However still added the 12.5% service charge.

Yesterday my friend and I had our first afternoon tea at Fairmont Hotel.. It was just amazing- food and ambience. The lovely Federica was so attentive and you could tell she wanted us to enjoy every moment of our experience. Tina Israel took the time to show us around the hotel and again made us feel so comfortable in such an outstanding place. I have already told my friends and colleagues about Fairmont and will definitely be back!!

Fabulous experience from start to finish. Enjoyed a drink in bar 1215 before our afternoon tea to celebrate a friend's birthday in the Orchid Tea room. Sandwich's and cakes were fresh and tasty and staff very attentive. I look forward to the next time I visit

Beautiful setting ,, we were only people in there so it was very quiet Lady serving us was lovely We upgraded to champagne afternoon tea ,, and a water ,, £6.00 bit steep ,, slightly overpriced for it ,, but it was enjoyable
