When you come to Opheem, you get an insight into the inner workings of my mind. We’re striving to push the boundaries with Indian flavours, but with cooking techniques from all over the world, some traditional, and some very modern. At Opheem, I’ll be using the same paints as I’ve always done, to create a very different picture, on a very, very different canvas. Why? Because to evolve and adapt is what makes us human, and cooking is what sets us apart from the animals.

What a great experience. From the moment you step in you feel like you're somewhere special. Starting with canapés in the bar and then 9 courses in the resturant, everything is exceptionally presented and delicious. The 10th course is petit fours back in the lounge followed by some yummy chocolates with the bill. My husband was stuffed, but personally I could have gone for another few courses. I didn't leave starving but I also wasn't totally satisfied and for the price I'd expect to not still be hungry! The service was exceptional apart from in the lounge at the end. We don't drink and we felt like the staff were annoyed when we didn't order any drinks and then we seemed to be left for a very long time after that. I understand there is profit to be made from selling drinks - especially when a glass of wine is £16! But if your customers don't drink alcohol they shouldn't be penalised for that fact. However overall it was amazing and if I had the money I'd definitely go again.

I really have no words to say some people say perfection doesn’t exist but I really think when it comes to this restaurant it’s perfection . The food is nothing short of magical and the whole team do a great job of making the night special . We will be back when it wins its next star

Once again as a vegetarian the food was once again off the scale. I was treated like a "Royal Vegetarian". Beautifully presented, imaginative dishes, delightful staff. Well done 11/10 for me. We'll be back to our happy place. Thank you

Incredible experience!!! Expensive but worth it for the fabulous food, service, ambience and whole end to end experience. Really special even - Opheem deserve their 2 Michelin stars!

Our family of four had the 10 course tasting menu and visited on a Saturday evening. From the moment we walked through the door and into the lounge area, to leaving some four hours later, we had a fantastic experience. The service was exemplary throughout, knowledgable and attentive but not overly fussy. Staff knew when to ask for more drinks, top up glasses or explain what we were eating (loved the touches that the chef's served and explained some of their dishes). The food was incredible. If you are a Brummie then you instinctively know curry and the flavours and balance of good curry's. This food teased us with familiar flavours and then took us off onto a totally different taste and flavour journey which surprised and delighted. The Aloo Tuk is just insanely good. The whole table were just smiling as we eat it. Potatos!! How can they be this good? Other personal highlights were Cafreal, duck, aubergine and black garlic, Tabakk Mas, Tandoori bbq mutton unlike any other tandoori I'd had and the Pista, Sheep's milk yoghurt, pistachio, green chilli. The Amouse Bouche's were also brilliant, a crab crumpet and a beef tartare bite. This was a great meal, a very special occasion for us but worth everything. Hugely recommended, especially if you think you know about currys!

Cannot recommend hightly enough. Make sure you do the 10 course, with the snacks it worked out as 15 ‘experiences’ perfect treat for our wedding anniversary. We felt very special.
