One person in our party eats a gluten free diet and asked about the tortillas with the shrimp tacos to confirm they are corn and not flour. The server then returned to let the guest know there is a possibility of gluten cross contamination with the french fries since the oil used for frying is also used on food that may contain gluten. Major kudos to the server/kitchen for that info. I different side order was selected. I asked our server if the shrimp tacos are spicy and was told only the aioli is spicy so I requested that on the side. Unfortunately the shrimp seasoning and the slaw were also very spicy and couldn't be eaten. The burger, bread pudding, fries and broccolini were all wonderful. Service was a bit slow.

Our experience at Open Road was fine! Our server didn’t come to the table until about 15 minutes after we were seated. Other than that, it was fine. Food was good, nothing super special, but we got what we wanted in a somewhat timely manner. Would recommend if you’re just looking for an average American dinner in Rosslyn!

Food was very tasty and the service was very fast and very good. My one complaint is that it was really hot inside the restaurant. There was an option to sit outside or inside. We chose inside bc it was a hot day out, but we may as well been outside. I shouldn’t be sweating in an ‘air conditioned’ restaurant.

Our server was extremely attentive, personable and helpful. Portion sizes for small plates and entrees were just right; excellent selections for beer and wine, with great value for happy hour, with discounts on starters and beverages.

Trout almandine was delicious but the cod croquette appetizer wasn’t on par with the rest of our meals. The crème brûlée was not warm. It had good flavor but should have at least been warm. Ambiance and service was awesome.
