Restaurant aesthetic is great and sound was quiet for a date. Food was not anything special and felt incredibly overpriced compared to many other steakhouses I dine at (both independent and chain). Had a challenge with food temperature which was resolved but no compensation given, listed anniversary celebration and no acknowledgement. Menu previously stated meat was from Dillion ranch in MT … main reason we chose restaurant for this feature. Now menu states tri-state area so not as locally sourced as listed on open table. Menus were flimsy paper which should have been our first sign that the restaurant was not what it used to be when initially listed profile on open table. Overall an overpriced disappointing experience.

Our waitress was wonderful, we enjoyed our dinner very much. My husband loved the bison filet!

We haven’t been here for a while. Took another couple with us. Ambiance is nice. Wasn’t crowded for a weekend. Food was average. My “medium” steak request was rare. My wife ordered a vodka / soda that was all water. Service was below par - I finally had to go find our server to get her to come back for our order. Overall kinda disappointing for the $425 we spent.

Tried Open Range on our way thru town on a recommendation and it did not disappoint! Generous servings of delicious food. Nice selection of options to choose from too. Bartenders were on point and friendly too.

Steak order m rare. Was well done. Brie toast was over cooked to point of having black crust. Chef should be made to eat it.

Hello, Thank you for the feedback. All feedback is good feedback. We always try to serve great steaks cooked accurately. Sometimes we make mistakes. We are always happy to fix any of our mistakes. I would recommend letting your server know next time so they can fix the situation. The last part of your review sounds very emotional and childish. "Chef should be made to eat it". You discredit yourself immediately with that and your review just cant be taken too seriously. For that I would give this review a 2/5 star. Thank you!

We are an open kitchen concept. We've been open for over a decade. You are the first person to be annoyed by this. For you though, we will reconstruct our entire restaurant.

For a restaurant presenting as high end and charging as much as they do, this was a lackluster experience. For the restaurant having about 8 tables seated when we walked in, it took an unacceptable 10 minutes before we were even served water. The menus were crinkled pieces of paper, and our water was never topped off until the end of our meal. I ordered soup and specifically requested that it be served with my steak. The soup still came out before the entrees. Our potatoes were doused in butter, which overpowered the flavor profile. Additionally, my ribeye came out with far too much fat. While I understand it is a fattier cut of meat, this level was unacceptable for the price you are paying. This was not a clean marbled piece of meat. Nearly half of the steak was pure fat while the other ribeye on the table had an average amount of marbling. While the waiter did properly bring my concern to the kitchen and rectified the situation with an additional steak, the kitchen, nor a manager, even looked at the original steak. For the price point and visual expectation for this restaurant, it is not the true high end experience one would assume it to be from outward appearances.

We understand that every cut of meat is different and unique. With our quality control standards here we ensure that every cut of meat that leaves our grill is accurately weighed, over cut with beautiful marbling. Your server was one of our Sr. Managers and our Sr. Meat Cooks so he knows a thing or two about the steak you were served, and approved a free steak to replace it. There is only so much we can do to ensure satisfaction and we did that. This review is not a representation of our restaurant and the countless 5 star reviews speak testimony to that. Menu choices and food quality were not commensurate with prices. Price levels were much higher than advertised. This is basically a bar as we found with most restaurants in Bozeman. Drink prices were also much higher than expected. The service was great, food was good but not outstanding as would be expected in the $60-$90 per plate range.
