Today was my third time at Opal. My first two times were great experiences. Today, I decided to invite a group of my friends whom it is their first time, as I told them I really recommend Opal. To my disappointment, everything was off today. From the initial contact all the way to paying the bill. I will list details below. Needless to say, the next time I want to go to a shisha lounge I have gone from “I highly recommend Opal” to now “let’s explore other options”. I was embarrassed in front of my friends for recommending Opal today unfortunately. 1. We were seated, and there was confusion among staff as to whether or not we ordered. Took about 15 minutes to just get the QR code for the menu after being seated. 2. We were a group of 7, and the food came out in increments one by one. Between the first plate of food to the last was about 30 minutes. Half the table was waiting for everybody to get their food before starting to eat theirs, as common table manners go, and their food was cold by the time the last plate came on the table. They also took forever to clear the table after we finished our food. 3. Food is decent overall. However the chicken tawook plate was not cooked (chicken had pink inside. Informed staff and they brought out a replacement plate, which was also not cooked. She was unable to eat any of it. The first time the staff said “oh you want it well done?” Nobody orders chicken medium rare because obviously you can’t eat raw chicken…it’s chicken not a steak/beef. 4. Staff doesn’t check in on you whatsoever. We had to hunt down staff to order additional items. 5. We ordered a pot of tea after our meals. When that came out with 4 cups we realized it wouldn’t be enough for all of us so we ordered another pot of tea. She brought out a second pot with no additional cups. Does the server not take into consideration that everybody might want tea? Had to hunt her down to ask for more cups. When she brought out the second tray of cups she aggressively put…..

First time there on a Sunday evening, loved how they place maintained its middle eastern vibe and ambience with the music and staff. The staff was attentive and took their job seriously in ensuring we were looked after and satisfied. Food was great and the shisha was smooth and flavourful.

Could not recommend this place enough!!! We were looking for a nice shisha bar in Toronto and this was perfect!! Excellent service, great vibes, music, and hookah. It’s so hard to find a place that has it all! Staff was so friendly too. This place def has a Dubai vibe to it.

We waited about 25 minutes for our table but other then that the place is amazing, music and service was outstanding!! Will be back
