A fine venue in which to share a birthday with friends. A smart conversion of the old building, now providing excellent food with friendly, attentive service.Appropriate pricing for the quality delivered.Well worth giving a try.

Our bill came to over £300 for 4 of us. The service was really bad considering it’s trying to be a boujee restaurant. The food was just standard tasting food. 2 of the people at our table ordered the porterhouse, waitress come back over advising only had 1 left so had to change order, then disappeared for another few minutes and came back to tell us that they didn’t have any porterhouse left. For my starter i got the pork belly bites which were a big portion for a starter, just served up in your average bowl no fancy dish. My partners steak was the chewiest steak i’ve ever tried, he left most of it. Can’t say i will return here. We went on a Sunday so it was quiet

Arrived 10 mins early said we could get a drink at the bar they were too busy still not served by the time our table was ready we got our first drink 20 mins later ! Service very slow. Starters lovely came in good time main meal came steaks cooked lovely but was missing a jacket potato when I mentioned it the server went to ask the kitchen came back and apologised said it wasn’t on the order but they will make one I said no don’t bother my meal would be cold my sone had the slow cooked ribs one was lovely the other he couldn’t eat was to chewy. So many missed opportunities with service at the table only had two drinks as no one was around. We then got the bill which I always check and my jacket potato was on it ! then had to wait to grab someone to take it off. Overall food good service was terrible bar was far two busy for just two people when they had to make cocktails for the full restraunt. Will I go back no to much hassle to get a server to get just a drink .

Where to start, we arrived a little early and were shown straight to our table, with food menus. Immediately on sitting down we all said that we were not warm. After half an hour of wondering if we were to go to the bar for our drinks or stay at the table, the maitre 'd then came and asked what we wanted to drink! He then brought a drinks menu and walked off. 5 mins later he returned and took our drink order, also asking if we were ready to order our food. Which we were. Ten mins later our drinks arrived. Shortly after followed our starters, which were quite tasty. Our main courses were soon to be delivered, 2 steaks and 2 burgers. The steaks were a little overdone and my burger was a bit dry and over salted. Because of the cold atmosphere the food was only just hot when it arrived it soon went cold! 2 of us had a dessert, I chose a chocolate lava cake which was not liquid in the middle, the other was a sorbet which was apparently nice. We again waited to ask for the bill which duly arrived and was paid. The price was not cheap, and for the service and quality of the food and the cold restaurant made us vow not to return in a hurry. Overall a very poor experience.

One steakhouse is nice. The atmosphere service on getting there was poor starters was called witted half an hour for a drink man meal was nice overall will not use again.

Where do I start other than very young, untrained staff!! Waited 35 minutes for a drink & then had to go & ask, sat on garden furniture not even a nice table & chairs, food came £79 for a sharing board with 6 pieces of meat 2 mushrooms 1 shallot & 2 baby potatoes 2 sides which 1 portion of chips tasted liked they’d being fried 4 times before we got them, the children didn’t get there starter or the dessert! 1 drink in 1 hour & 20 minutes & not asked if we’d like another! £40 service charge which the refused to take off but they did in the end told the manager we wasn’t happy & all we got was sorry! Got home changed & ready for the new year at home as a family only to go back to the restaurant to collect our £40 deposit that they’d not taken off the bill, never to return again!!

The place is well designed and looks great. It's nice to have a more upmarket restaurant in Hull. The food was amazing and can't fault it. Fillet steak cooked to perfection. The price is a little on the high side but you can live with that as it's more upmarket. 100% be back. Service was a little on the inexperienced side. One server asked if we were finished even though we had knives and forks in our hands. The bill came and before she put it down and we even looked at it the server was asking how we were paying. Small things but a little bit of training would help.

The food was very nice I have no issue with that, but it took a while for our drinks order to be taken and we were seated downstairs near the door so it was very cold. I had to eat with my jacket on. This was our first time so I wasn’t aware that there was seating downstairs, so I assumed we would be in the rooftop. Two ladies came in after us, they was supposed to be sat next to us but they asked to go upstairs and they were allowed, so I asked and was told no. I was told that because I booked online (which doesn’t give you the option to specify seating upstairs) they couldn’t do anything. Apparently if you call to book you will be asked. I think the website needs updating given we are in 2024/2025 and you would expect most people to book online.
