One of the best pasta restaurants. I'm from Slovenia and, hand on heart, I haven't had better pasta anywhere else. The staff also deserve an award, as they were extremely friendly and helpfull.

My partner and I were regulars at Onda when it was at New Cross, genuinely the best pasta we’ve ever had and we visited 10+ times whilst it was there. We visited for the first time at Circle Square yesterday. The food was exceptional bar a weirdly muted garlic and parsley pizzette, which felt like it had no garlic at all. Our biggest frustration, having been at New Cross, was the much smaller portions coupled with the much higher menu prices. I remember the first time we left Onda and it was very much “wow I can’t believe we’ve had that for that reasonable a price” whereas last night was “the food was exceptional but wow it was pricey”. Onda used to be our able go-to, no quibbles recommendation in Manchester and now it would be “it’s fantastic but pricey”. That being said, I know there are costs to pay, but having followed Sam from Track, to New Cross to Circle Square, it’s frustrating to see.

We had a great meal on Saturday night, the food was outstanding as always, especially the tiramisu. There was a slight mixup up with part of our meal not arriving on time but the waitstaff were so apologetic and fixed it for us immediately and very kindly gave it to us for free. I wish I’d caught the name of our waiter, he was excellent - so friendly and personable. We will be back again soon for sure!

We have been wanting to visit here for a while and it did not disappoint. We went with our 3 and 1 year old. The restaurant was busy and we had to wait 15 minutes for our table to be ready but there is seats to wait. We had a good table right next to the kitchen/pasta making which was really cool to watch. The food was amazing, we got 3 pastas and 2 pizzas to share as well as dessert. The idea to share a few dishes is perfect, it is what we like to do when we go out to try the most. Tiramisu was the best I have had in a long time, and the meringue dessert was so good, maybe a bit much sweetness if not sharing. They are child friendly, had their own menu and also provided a colouring sheet and crayons. So good.

Incredible food and fantastic space. Fist went when it was a pop up and to see how well they’ve transitioned to their own space was fab! Food was to die for … and the ambiance they’ve created in the new restaurant was perfect! Loved seeing all the staff busy at work prepping the food that was al freshly made! Friendly staff too! All in all top notch Saturday evening out! Will definitely be back!

If I'm totally honest, whilst the food really is amazing, I think the price is too much. In my opinion, if you are framing it as small plate/tapas style dining and recommending 3-5 plates between two, but each plate is at least £9 with most being more than this, it makes it very unaffordable. I would like to come back for the quality of the food but honestly the cost per plate means the reality is I wouldn't rush back.

Our first visit to Onda and we will definitely be back! Brilliant service; all of the staff were lovely and welcoming, our waitress was friendly, enthusiastic and assertive. The food was exceptional, good portion sizes and the price was reflective of the quality.

Highly recommended. Pasta on another level. Absolutely delicious. Not the usual suspects but a short, innovative, tasty menu. Fantastic service from knowledgeable staff and lovely atmosphere.
