Literally translating to "Trust The Chef Please," Chef Jeana Pecha's "Omakase Por Favor" is thrilled to open our second location in Midtown, Sacramento. We combine the best of Global and Coastal Mexican flavors with the immersive Japanese Omakase dining experience. Together with Chef Jeana, Chef de Cuisine Katerina Balagian craft a menu that showcases signature oysters, ceviches, and fresh, seasonal seafood, along with local vegetables and produce from trusted farms and suppliers. Stop by for lunch to enjoy a quick, satisfying meal from our à la carte menu, or reserve your spot for dinner to embark on a curated omakase journey, leaving every decision to our expert chefs. Good fish but hidden by too much sauce. The Mexican coastal influence did shine through as much as we would have liked. Overall food was good but for 6 oysters, 4 drink, 2 omakase, 1 wine pairing + 1 sake pairing not sure it warranted the $350 price tag (tip included)

Every dish was incredibly flavorful and inventive. Our table did omakase and everyone was happy, including the vegetarian in the group. Service was excellent. Staff was super friendly, attentive, and sweet. And the interior is pretty and chic with calming ambiance. I look forward to coming back. A great spot for a special occasion.

A unique experience with flavors that will leave you craving for more! Treat yourself and indulge in the Omakase menu which is a chefs tasting menu that is just exciting to eat. Each course is carefully thought out plated and explained as it is served. Fresh, local, seasonal and great wines beers and sake. Super date night, superior service.

Excellent food as always. Japanese Mexican Fusion actually works. Raw bar was excellent! Bar seating doesn’t allow much interaction between chefs and patrons despite Omakase format. Also patrons can’t really see food prep in between servings because view is blocked by food storage. Still wonderful twist and great dining experience.

Love this new Restaurant. Beautiful comfortable room with great service, outstanding food. The menu is interesting and the food is fresh, fun and tastes wonderful. Full bar and nice cocktails. We will be back

This experience went well beyond our expectations. For the price, the omakase with wine pairing was truly exceptional. The staff were highly trained and knowledgeable, and every dish and pairing was executed to perfection. Standouts included the shrimp lettuce wrap and the tuna paired with persimmons, both of which were unforgettable. I almost hesitate to share this glowing review, knowing it might make it even harder to secure a spot here in the future!

Omakase Por Favor has arrived in Midtown Sacramento, bringing the creative fusion of flavors that made its Lincoln location a standout. During its soft opening, the owner was present, adding a personal touch to the experience and showcasing the passion behind the concept. The seasonal menu highlights fresh seafood and local ingredients, with close ties to vendors from the farmers market conveniently located right outside. Each of the six omakase courses offered elevated and delicate flavors, demonstrating a thoughtful approach to combining cuisines. While the mabo tofu served as the final course was tasty, it felt slightly out of sync with the rest of the lineup. The wine pairing was an excellent addition, featuring unique selections that perfectly complemented the dishes and were a refreshing departure from standard offerings. For those seeking variety, a non-omakase menu is available—but why miss out on the adventure? Trust the chef. Omakase Por Favor earns a well-deserved 5/5 for food, service, price, atmosphere, and location. It’s a welcome addition to the Midtown dining scene, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Bravo to the team for an impressive debut!

Great meal! OPF has an exciting omakase experience for the adventurous diner, with wonderful mixtures of tastes. Each dish surprised and delighted the taste buds. The staff is well trained and attentive, and their “soft opening” went smoothly for a memorable dining experience. Congratulations Chef Jeana for another hit!
