Omakase By Aung is modern, up beat and contemporary sushi omakase restaurant located at 567 Kapahulu Ave next to world famous Waikiki beach in Honolulu. Mixture of Edomae style nigiris and model innovative nigiris will be served in 1 hour 45 minutes long Omakase meal. Seasonal fish from around the world are used in the 15 courses omakase meal.
Omakase by Aung provides single 15 courses menu to all customers for both Lunch and Dinner Service.
Chef Aung will provide laid back and fun experience for all sushi lovers. Open kitchen with a long 12 seats sushi counter in the middle of the restaurant allows interactive experience between the customers and the chefs.

First time omakase experience. Food was very delicious. Very hard to find the location. There’s parking but no signs posted anywhere. Servers were extremely nice and made sure we all had a good experience.

Most fun I’ve had at an omakase! Amazing food, amazing ambiance and amazing service. Chef Aung was so welcoming and friendly…..highly recommend checking this place out if you’re visiting or live in the area and love good food and a fun vibe. We’ll definitely be back

The food was outstanding. The vibes were immaculate. Chef Aung definitely knows what he's doing! Best meal on my honeymoon (the wife agrees)~

Amazing omakase place! The food was 8/10 and the service really made this place shine. 11/10. Love the chef and the servers. Will definitely come back when I’m back in Hawaii! The atmosphere was perfect!

Thoroughly enjoyed the intimate lunch experience. Same meticulously prepared creative menu as dinner, but you feel like you are a guest at a friend’s house. I hope to make it back every trip.

Excellent, reasonably priced omakase in a non-descript location on Kapahulu Ave. I took my wife for her Birthday which they were very thoughtful in acknowledging at the end of the meal with a separate plate of sashimi with a candle. We ate at the 5:30 seating which was nice as the sun set to our backs. The pace was excellent and for anyone interested in primarily sushi omakase this is a great spot. Chef and his helper were super friendly and engaging. We would definitely return once back visiting again.
