Olivine is Grand Wailea's oceanfront culinary destination where the natural bounty of Maui is perfectly paired with the art of coastal Italian cuisine. Named for the green mineral that produces the gemstone known as the “Hawaiian diamond,” Olivine’s rustic open-air interior incorporates the striking hues of this mineral, inviting diners to gather both day and night in an al fresco setting framed by large open windows with sweeping sky, pool, and ocean views.

Service was slow but friendly and costs were over the top for poor food. Pasta was clumped together and over cooked. They were out of bread. Overall a terrible experience.

The experience was below average given the location and prices. $34 dollars for a small martini is simply ridiculous. I don’t mind paying top dollar for top quality. Additionally, the entrees were not great. Fish overcooked, risotto undercooked and simply no flavor. Too many good options in Wailea to make this an expensive choice.

Very expensive but the food is amazing! The staff appeared under staffed. Our meal took over 2 hours to complete. The noise level was extremely loud. This is not the place for a romantic dinner but if you are not in a hurry and want great food (and don't mind spending some serious money) this is a great place!

We came back a year later for the squash blossoms, but all the food and drinks were excellent. Our server went above and beyond for us and we left happy albeit a bit slowly as we were very full.

Dining experience was a pleasure only because of the overall ambiance (sunset,open air,attentive staff..etc) Food was unexpectedly expensive for a not so superior food on the menu. We have eaten all around Maui, chosen Olivine for our family New Year dinner as our way of support to business as locals, and must say we were dissatisfied and disappointed.

Way overpriced. We have a few dietary restrictions (dairy and gluten) and not as accomodating as other restaurants in this price range. No gluten free pasta - server said “they haven’t gotten that far yet.” I ordered fish and since I can’t have dairy it was just a baked piece of fish on top of rice. Not even seasoned. Totally get it but for the price point of this restaurant I would have expected more.

Beautiful setting though can be a bit warm depending on where you are seated. Food overpriced.

It’s was a beautiful view. The food was ok. The price is a bit expensive for the quality. It is Grand Wailea which is a beautiful resort so I guess you can up charge.
