I really wanted to love Oliva so much, but it is very clear they are still working out some of the kinks as a new restaurant. The space itself is absolutely beautiful. The service was not good (not the server's fault - she was lovely). Our server just had way too many tables so there was no time for chit chat or to even tell us about the menu or the restaurant. When you pay over $200 per couple you expect top notch service. One should not have to clear his/her own plate to make room for new plates of food or ask for new utensils. When the food finally arrived most of it was cold. No one came to check on us so we didn't bother sending anything back. It was very clear that there was no manager or owner to be found in the restaurant (never a good sign). When we finally went to pay their system crashed so that took another 20 minutes. I finally got up and asked the server to just send us our bill via email, which they obliged. Several tables around us were very restless as well waiting on their checks. Again, I truly hope this is just a new restaurant trying to get its legs under it, but hopefully they do it fast otherwise they won't survive. I'll definitely head back for another try after some time passes as I love her other restaurant on the via duct!

From the time we walked in until the check was paid. Everything was outstanding food service ambience highly recommend the Branzino was superb.

Our guests and selves thoroughly enjoyed our steaks, apps & sides. Our table by the window, on a gloomy day, was perfect to brighten things up. It was a delight to have Maurice, as our server.

Great new place to go in Cleveland for dinner! Good food, service and atmosphere. Above average selection of wines at a good price. Shared 3 pasta dishes and a NY Strip. All were very good. Typically go to Red for steak, all said hands down, this was a better cut of meat and preparation. Thanks and will see you guys after the next Browns game.

Fabulous service and food but noise level was too much! Granted the bar was close with loud patrons but it almost ruined my expectations of a romantic dinner. Will not return because of this problem.

Food was above average this time. Last time we visited it was outstanding. Server had zero personality and wasn’t responsive at all. Drinks left empty , empty plates, etc. it felt like we were bothering him and we didn’t have any unreasonable asks. The whole party felt this way. Service matters in the service field and he failed miserably. I ate an another steak house earlier this week out of town and the server made the experience.

This has become my new favorite restaurant in Cleveland. From the moment you walk in the door, you know you have arrived at a good restaurant. The ambience and the smells were wonderful.. Our server was great. Cocktails were perfect and our food was delicious. I love the idea of small plates. Can’t wait to go back and sit that the Chefs Table.
