Unfortunately had quite a disappointing experience. Table legs force you to sit in quite an uncomfortable way as they are positioned right in front of your legs but not central so you can put your legs either side, so already I felt uncomfortable at the table. Waitress service was good and helpful, although it did seem she had quite a lot going on and seemed to forget to come back to the table. We asked for a few minutes to choose desserts and she didn’t return for around 15/20minutes by which point we decided to get the bill. We had to ask for the bill twice as our waitress didn’t bring it over when we asked, so we asked someone else. Food service was initially good, food was served promptly. However whilst I understand that with tapas room can need to be made on the table, our plates were often taken before we were finished and we weren’t asked if it was okay to take them. Additionally whilst most of the food was okay, the prawns did smell a bit off to me so I didn’t eat them. My partner however isn’t one to be shy of food and ate the prawns - he then realised he made a mistake as the prawns seemed to ‘repeat’ on him and he ended up being quite sick when we arrived home. Food was reasonably priced, although I don’t think I would pay the same now I know the quality of the food. Overall the experience was not a disaster - the restaurant environment was calm and a good noise level, I am just not sure I would return due to the negatives I experienced.

The food at one Rochester is top notch,the choice is very good,We had the pork belly's in chill sauce,Very good,Beef in soy sauce,brilliant and the Mushrooms in cream sauce,very nice and the staff are very welcoming,Me and my husband enjoy the whole experience,we shall be taking our family there in future

We have been to the restaurant a few times now and the consistency of the food and service is impeccable. We were celebrating my mums birthday and having called ahead, the staff welcomed us with glasses of Prosecco on the house which I thought was a lovely touch. The restaurant gives you a perfect amount of time between each course/tapas. The croquettes are an absolute must, as is the paella. We’ll be visiting again (and again) and already looking forward to it. Thanks to everyone at Olé

Came to Ole Rochester for first time since they opened and loved it. A friend has been recently and suggested that the 3 of us go for one of our regular catch ups. We ordered a lot of different tapas and each dish was absolutely delicious! We had tortilla, croquettas, paella, calamari, empanadas and more! The dishes were perfect size for 3 of us to share and I don’t think I can pick a favourite as they were all soooooo good! The staff were really friendly and attentive and I will definitely be coming back.

Overall not the experience I expected for a tapas restaurant. We ordered the Prosecco Sangria which tasted thin and watery. No real taste of prosecco more like watered down lemonade. We did mention this to our server who removed it at once from our table and the bill. The pork belly was over sauced with sweet chili; bacalao fritters tasted mostly like potato balls; prawns were tiny and not well seasoned; pan con tomate was tasty but the bread was soggy. All in all a disappointing dining experience.

Booked for my husband's birthday. Ate about 7pm on a Monday, was only one other table when we sat down which was nice, as much as I enjoy a busy atmosphere, a quiet dinner was perfect. I asked to sit by the window as it was hot as the waitress started to walk towards the back. Had a complimentary dish as we waited for our food, and when it arrived, it was well prepared and hot. Meatballs were a little bland so could do with a little more seasoning. (Could do that ourselves) Service was good, nothing stuck out extra mile style, so was standard service. Its pricey, so I don't get to go often. It's a place for a real treat for us to be honest. So despite that I would recommend and will visit again. Still sour after the cafe closed, those sausage rolls were yummy. Our first visit shortly after it opened was not great as the food ran out so options were low back then, so this visit was much better and definitely an improvement. The restaurant itself is lovely, beautiful high ceilings and a comfortable open plan feel to it. Great for dining events.
