Sunday lunch disappointing relative to previous experience of this pub. Roast beef dinner luke warm / cold ish and not much veg. Sea bass unexceptional / average. But both meals relatively high price. Whole place not very busy compared to our previous visits. Nice building / location / garden - overall experience was OK but below expectation this time. It seems to have lost ground relative to the competition in the area.

This will be our 3rd visit for Sunday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it again. Great service without being intrusive. Great food and very accommodating

Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. My family wanted to enjoy the surroundings of a traditional pub and food, and enjoy the company of my sister who was visiting from America. The spinach pancakes and lamb pie were tasty…the sea bass and fish and chips were dishes I could either make or buy in a local shop. We were looking forward to meals that were worthy of the higher prices…unfortunately this missed the mark.

For the first time ever, left disappointed. Soup advertised as £5.95,on menu. Told it was Carrot and ginger. Was served Onion Soup !!! And charged £6.95 The beef was exceptionally tough and almost impossible to cut with the knife meaning the consumption was just as bad. Had to ask 4 times for the bill which I felt was expensive for what we had. Eaten here on numerous occasions and always been great but this visit was disappointing .

Never disappoints. Been coming here regularly over the years and the quality of the food and service are always superb. Beautiful country inn and restaurant!
