Créé en 1868, le steakhouse classique Old Homestead Steakhouse de Gotham est situé dans le quartier ultra chic de Meat Packing. Le restaurant a noué des rapports étroits avec les bouchers, afin d'obtenir un boeuf de premier choix. Vous apprécierez toujours une viande âgée de qualité. Il a remporté le Wine Spectator Award en 2006. Le restaurant propose des homards allant de 200 à 600 grammes, des sushis de thon de qualité, du saumon rouge, de la chair de crabe Colossal et des crevettes tellement grosses qu'elles sont souvent comparées à des petites bananes.

Great food, great service. Very New York kind of place. Menu is pricey but worth it for a special occasion. Recommended.

I went there with my friend. We shared The Gotham Rob Steak On The Bone, garlic mashed potato, and crème brûlée. The meat was tender and well tasted. The ambiance was great not too noisy or too quiet. The staff was friendly but not persistent. It was fabulous time there!

It's definitely a place to celebrate! We went for christmas Day dinner. The severs were attentive but did not hover. The steaks and sides were great! I had the american waygu, and my wife had the steak au porive. Both cooked perfectly and well rested. It's a pet we've of mine when steakhouses don't thoroughly rest their meat before serving it. Not the case here. Our steaks were perfect. The sides were delicious as well. The chocolate cake was a great finish to the meal.

This place is great! Unfortunately, I was served shrimp (which I’m allergic to) when we ordered calamari. Had a couple of bites before realizing. But all was well after taking some Benadryl, and the food and service was fantastic!

In comparison to other steakhouses in NYC, we were disappointed. Steak was cooked properly to medium rare but was not adequately salted. We had the sirloin, rib eye, kobe burger. and lamb chops. The lamb chops were slightly overcooked. The burger was the best of these choices and truly was the star of the show, which should not have been the case. The apps were really good. We had oyster rockefeller, truffle carpaccio, sashimi, and crab cakes. No issues here and it met our expectations. Since we had a mediocre steak we only got one dessert, chocolate cake. This was also underwhelming. As everyone knows, when going to a NYC steakhouse expectations should be high. Unfortunately, they let us down.

My family and I went to the Old Homestead Steakhouse for dinner to celebrate Christmas Eve. We were extremely disappointed with the very slow service, from the waiter coming over to take our orders, to the serving of appetizers, to entree. The quality of the food was disappointing. Definitely not at the same level as the top steakhouses in New York City, despite the high prices. The steaks arrived cold and overcooked. After finishing our mains, we asked the waiter for the dessert menu. We waited for 20 minutes and the waiter had not come back with the menu. We gave up on dessert and asked for the check in the first opportunity to catch the waiter’s attention. Based on the poor experience, we won’t be returning to dine there ever again.

We visit 2 or 3 times a year and is our favorite place for steaks. Jose our waiter takes good care of us all the time.

Great Experience. Family Christmas dinner. Excellent selection of Apps, Mains, Sides and Deserts. Apps, Steaks and Chicken were prepared perfectly. Nice Wine and Beer selection. Deserts excellent. Nice traditional setting. Pricing($$$$) similar to other major steak houses in the city.
