Equal parts rustic and refined, Old 290 Brewery & Restaurant combines Hill Country craft beer with hearty, Texas-inspired cuisine. Our gastropub style restaurant emphasizes fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, along with our craft beer and our award-winning wines from Carter Creek Winery. Our Old 290 Brewery is also open for weekend breakfast and casual menu options. Hours vary for the smokehouse and restaurant.

Service was okay. Food was incredibly mediocre for the price. I ordered a medium rare steak and it was well done. You could tell that it was a cheap cut of meat as well on top of knowing that you’re getting a sirloin for $45. The scenery and ambience were great and the drinks were good though.

Overall - OK, we order a steak and was over cooked. Notify the waiter but they acknowledge and continued on waitressing’s. Next, I order a Coke, drank it and the waiter refilled it. When I received my bill I was charged for two. If the restaurant is going to charger pre glass- it should be noted on the menu.

Service was great. Both items we ordered contained chicken. Chicken was tough and hard to cut. Food wasn’t good

Great meal and nice guitar player made the night memorable. Didn’t love the brews but the wine was nice. Would go back for sure. Lots of menu items with a range of price points.

Excellent service in a beautiful setting. We love Carter Creek winery and the food here does not disappoint. Waitstaff is incredibly attentive.

The service provider, Michelle, went out of her way to comfort our young daughters. The promptness of the entire service and attention to detail was exceptional. We will certainly return.
