From its humble beginnings in the quaint Hudson River town of Piermont, New York, Olar was known for serving up rustic Neapolitan pies, classic Spanish tapas, and hand crafted pastas that drew in both locals and foodies from all parts of New Jersey, upstate New York, and New York City and kept them coming back for over a decade.

Now in its new location in Northvale, New Jersey, the restaurant, now known as Olar Noso - which means "our home" in Galego, the language spoken in Galicia where the Dominguez family is from - is an evolution in not only name alone.
They have managed to scale the restaurant concept generously while replicating the quality and preserving the reputation the former Olar had garnered over the years. Evolving into Olar Noso meant giving Olar's loyal customers everything they loved, while also enhancing their experience with more seating, more elbow room, a full bar, a private event space, and, finally, ample parking.

Our private event space and lounge area is designed to feel like you and your guests are dining in a wine cellar. The space boasts a dining space to accommodate up to 60 guests, separate men's and women's bathrooms, a Sonos surround sound system that guests may control, and an inviting lounge area with leather couches, chairs, TV, and a fireplace.

Food is amazing. While the waitstaff is friendly, professional and accommodating it took a long time to get our food. And there was a lot of time (too much) in between apps and meal.

The service and food are always very good here. Highly recommend. It was a quiet night so the noise level was limited

Excellent service, good food, and a lively atmosphere. The only drawback would be that the entrees we ordered were expensive for the quantity (Small size striped bass with nothing more than squash puree & seafood paella- loaded with mussels rather than scallops, clams, and shrimp). If we decided to return, we would definitely recommend sticking with the tapas menu.

I really wanted to give a higher score but can’t. Meatball app was tasty but too dense. My entree was Salmon. Prepared top notch. My wife ordered paella. In a “Spanish-ish” restaurant. It arrived a solid 15 minutes after my salmon. Completely unacceptable! No visit from the manager. No explanation. Nothing. Ruined a very good meal/experience.

Been going to this restaurant since it opened in Piermont NY years ago. Now in Northvale NJ the only change is the size of the restaurant. The food is still consistently delicious. Try the salmon with mango chutney if you're a fish lover. The skirt steak is a treat for carnivores. House made red sangria a must. Any of the pizzas a treat. The staff is attentive and owner Matt cordial. Highly recommend OLar Noso for any occasion or simply a delicious night out for dinner.

This was our first time dining at Olar Noso, and it will most definitely not be the last! We were a party of 4 adults, which worked to our benefit because all of the 7 plates we ordered were perfect for the 4 of us to each get more than just a taste. The drinks were superb, and service was impeccable. Can’t wait to be back again!

Food was delish! Service was great .. extremely packed and loud but worth it ! Had to wait for our table awhile but it was worth it Only negative was table was small and hard to fit our food comfortably
